MANY religions worldwide would consider this a solemn and respected post of work. Every form of paganism I have personally run across would say you’re doing an important duty. In Judaism, we’d say you’re fulfilling a Mitzvah by respecting the dead and honoring their memories.

As always, it is vitally important to remember that these maps are inaccurate are inaccurate in how they depict tribes having firm borders. There were no border checks, many tribes were nomadic and traveled through huge swaths of land over the seasons, territories in general shifted and changed constantly depending on a lot of factors, and a lot of territories either overlapped or were shared by multiple tribes. That's not even getting into things like forced displacement and how tribes made homes where they were pushed.

These maps are very well-intentioned but end up all playing into the same dangerous idea: that borders between people are natural and ancient.
