a lot, if not most of the bearded stede fanwork is a pretty transparent attempt at covering up the fact that people can't admit to themselves that rhys is attractive and stede is a desirable romantic hero unless they imagine him performing masculinity in a way they're more comfortable with
almost all of this bearded stede thing goes hand in hand in hand with giving him sharper angles, bigger muscles, a younger face, more facial hair than rhys has ever had, all in all changing him beyond recognition until he's finally hot enough by their standard and they can finally see him as someone capable of sweeping ed off his feet. noone even tries to pretend they're imagining a solid, narrative reason, it's literally just "he'd be so much hotter this way" but they wouldn't even go half as hard for him if it really just WAS rhys with his actual real-life beard.

i was thinking about why dinluke really grabbed me the way it did and i think a big part is that. watching the mandalorian s1+2 was so very stressful, seeing din travel from place to place and never knowing who he could trust, always having his guard up and still managing to get betrayed in unlikely places
and in contrast luke feels so safe and stable, like they may not agree on everything but he can trust that luke will protect grogu With His Life (let’s disregard luke fedexing grogu to tatooine) and would never in a million years sell them out for money or his own safety or anything else that anyone could ever promise him.

Is TOG2 filming in... Vancouver?
IMDb updated with a new crew listing: Rob Fournier as Supervising Armourer.
I checked, and this dude was not an armourer on TOG; a little sleuthing showed that it’s likely because he’s based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (and not the UK, which was where the first movie was primarily filmed).
So I did some more looking around and…

a lazytown song came up on my ipod shuffle and i have to say, the lazytown renaissance of december 2016/early 2017 was genuinely one of the best and most wholesome fandom experiences i’ve ever had
this is gonna sound bitchy but c'est la vie, with the t o g rare pair event going on its gonna be unfollow on sight for any shipping content of joe and/or nicky with other members of the group. i see those relationships 100% as familial and it squicks the hell out of me to see it.
