It’s my 30th birthday on Saturday, and the best gift ever would be a fully funded Kickstarter for my comic: Weird Me: The Complete Collection!

I recently updated the project page with all of the bonus rewards you can add on to your pledge, which includes FOUR of my other comics:

  • Oh, The Things You Won’t Know! A Seussical ode to a drunk girl’s night out; the details of which she’ll know nothing about.
  • The Catalogue (an ongoing series). My every single “tail” from growing up in a crazy cat lady household. You can grab the two volumes I’ve already put out AND you’ll get the third volume I’m working on right now!
  • You can also get yourself the original Weird Me mini comics for your collection! (Limited quantity)

Right now, there’s less than $700 to go to reach my goal!!! Please help by spreading the word, or checking the project out for yourself!

The ENTIRE first chapter of Weird Me is now available on my website! Click here to read it!

If you like this comic and want to read more, please check out my Kickstarter campaign for Weird Me: The Complete Collection! I originally created this series as four mini comics, and now I am hoping to self-publish the entire comic as one book - including spruced up pages from the original story AND brand new comics added in. There’s also some cool swag you can grab as rewards, as well as bonus comics. :)

Please give this post a share, and you’ll be supporting independent publishing and women making comics!! 🌺✌️

Weird Me is my comic series about embracing the “Weird Al” Yankovic fandom with a vengeance in the early 2000s, and then rediscovering this part of my life as an adult. If others have ever made you feel embarrassed by one of your passions, this is story about reclaiming what you love and owning it!

I’m currently Kickstarting a project to finally self-publish the entire series as one book, and I need your help! Please consider supporting the project with either a pledge or with a SHARE! :)

Once upon a time, I was the moderately successful teenage webmaster of a “Weird Al” Yankovic fan site. I made a four-volume comic about those years of my life, and now I’m gathering the entire story into one book!

This collection will also have spruced up pages from the original series, plus new comics of stories the originally didn’t make it into the story! There will be plenty of new treats for anyone who has already been kind enough to pick up the original comic. :)

Help me spread the word with a share, and grab a copy of the book for yourself!!!

If you were at this NYCC panel today, you heard me rattle off a long list of excellent women who are actively engaged in self-publishing, and/or broke ground for comics self-publishing. For background: My publishing partner Claire and I were invited to participate on this panel again, alongside the same group of guys as last year. She had to pull out, and was replaced with another man. I wasn't pleased. In the spirit of education, I shared the following list: SELF-MADE PUBLISHERS Annie Koyama Kris Mukai Robyn Chapman Cecilia Tan Hope Nicholson  WEBCOMICS Noelle Stevenson Meredith Gran Molly Ostertag Erika Moen Yao Xiao Megan Brennan Mildred Louis PERSONAL WORK Aatmaja Pandya Rachel Dukes Lucy Bellwood Aimee Fleck Deanna Echanique Jenn Wooddall  Carolyn Nowak Carey Pietsch Vanessa Satone ANTHOLOGIES  Taneka Stotts Spike Trotman Annie Stoll Hazel Newlevant Janet Sung & Arielle Jovellanos   Kat Fajardo Trina Robbins (the mother of self-publishing) I hope you get to hear more from them in the future.
