Nothing Random

@ninimarini / ninimarini.tumblr.com

About.me/ninimarini My Nothing Random Blog: There is nothing random about finding something interesting and reacting to it; everything inspires, anything can trigger. This is a place for my general musing, thoughts, inspirations & explorations. For me random, keeps me in touch with a side of myself that would otherwise get drowned in everyday things. I believe in constantly learning; in sharing and expanding the mind as well as the heart. Love and good vibes like-minded people. xoxo #ArtForLife p.s Sharing some of my "inspiration walks" here : NINIMARINI TRAVELS Instagram: NINIMARINI_ TAGS: ART FOR LIFE CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS DIPPED (My jewelry line) SMILE MY ART

First to market

The concept of “first to market” was created by marketers to achieve recall value. What they didn’t tell you is that in order for “success” you need to also have a good product in hand otherwise you will be forgotten when the next guy with the same kind of product comes along.

Being the first to do anything, or doing something different, unfortunately has become some kind of obsession in this age. We become discouraged when someone else does it first. I say screw that. Do it anyway. Your way is your way. No one is stealing from you. Get over yourself. EGO is the enemy clearly.

There is NO SUCH THING as ORIGINAL. God holds that card. Ideas are everywhere. We are influenced by everything we come upon. Consciously or unconsciously. All we can do is re-hash & add your own spin too it - innovate.  This is especially so in the world of art & design. Do not be mad if someone else does something before you. Chances are that person also got “inspired” by someone or something they had seen curated on Pinterest/Tumblr/ Friend/ Family/ Observed etc. Everything you can think of has been done in some way of form. Nothing is original. Be happy instead to see your idea tested out and then get to work. Start creating, improve the idea and hopefully you will be the "first to market" the next time.

PEACE.

Beginnings. My nephew Hakeem used to paint with me in the house before I got my art studio. I do miss painting at home with my family around me. This was taken in 2009; Hakeem (age 6) is seen here pretending to paint on my New Year painting which I sold rather unexpectedly soon after. YAY for making my first sale although I never met the buyer so I don't even know where the paintig is now. Cliche first art sale story. Since then & because I dont have many paintings, I make sure I know who I sell them to. :)

Miss.

Is it even possible to miss someone you don’t even know?

I don’t even know how that is even in my head.

Why I stopped blogging

I forgot my password.....yes.....roll your eyes.

I didn’t want to.

I was busy.

Back now  & WOW, I have much to tell you! Where do begin from last July, 2014? That’s nearly a year ago. Holy spheres.

Just keep an eye for my updates....I am inspired to write again.

Love love,

Nini
