This happened last night and I am still absolutely speechless about the entire event. The whole band was so nice and Josh was especially sweet. I managed to get the perfect spot at barrier and the crowd wasn’t pushy either. During the show Josh interacted with me heaps, he took the flag I had and waved it around before giving it back to me, he stood next to the barrier right where I was on a step and leaned into the crowd and he also handed me his water bottle half way through their set (I guess I looked thirsty?). He performed Lover Dearest and was so open about it. They played an amazing set list and interacted with the crowd heaps too. This band means so much to me and I finally got the opportunity to meet them and the show was absolutely perfect. I remembered how I’d put them on and play them out loud when things were going wrong because their music seemed to tell the world what I was feeling when I couldn’t. Their music introduced me to a whole new world which I fell in love with - a world where I wasn’t alone in what I was feeling and others were experiencing the same kind of thing as me. I’d re-live the whole experience a million times over, even the waiting for ten hours in a storm in the dirty alley way of the city, if I could. Best night of my life! Thank you Marianas Trench!
