Honestly I think that by this point Sasuke KNOWS how fast he’s falling in love with her and how hard he’s falling. Boy is damn well aware of his feelings and it fucking terrifies him. The last time he loved people they were all killed or he was completely betrayed, so of course he won’t act on any of these feelings now and of course he’ll deny it.

The massacre was only 5 years ago.

But Jesus fuck this moment is so important. You can see his eyes. He looks so genuine and soft, like he’s let his guard down if only for a moment to take in her beauty. He worries about her, he wants her to be okay. For most of (or at least a large duration) of the Gaara fight, his top priority is making sure she stays safe.

At this point he fucking knows she loves him and he can feel himself falling head over heels for her and this panel is all the proof you need of that 🙃❤️

He keeps track of the things that make her cry. At present, the list is up to nine. 

Number three was when he proposed. But Sasuke figures that since he’s not planning on divorcing her just to re-propose, this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

He makes it a mission to make sure that the list doesn’t grow. But it inevitably does, and he’s always struck with the same soft panic when he sees tears glistening in those big doe eyes. And then she half-hiccups, fingers pressing to her lips as she stares up at him.

He wonders, sometimes, staring up at the ceiling as sleep eludes him, For all the tea she drinks, maybe it’s trickled down to create some sort of vast ocean inside of her. There could be no other reason for her tears flowing as often as they do. And it makes sense, in a way. Because as he presses his ear to her back, he listens to the ebb and flow of her breaths. A deep sea is within her, flowing and stirring with her dreams.
