October studyblr rollcall!!

After the popularity of my September rollcall, and how many people told me they’d gained active studyblr followers from following people that had reblogged it, I figured I’d do an October one!!

Reblog/like if you’re an active studyblr so that we can all follow each other and get motivated to do well and study!!!

First evaluations of the semester!!

One of my goals for the semester was to work really hard at improving my work perfomance and this morning I got my first evaluation from my supervisors. Before opening the email I was really glad that I wasn’t going to know who did the eval because what if it was awful? But I ended up getting straight 3s across the board! (meaning meeting all expectations of the job and being a good team member) Which is great but what really stood out was the feedback.

I know I do an okay job but I spend 95% of my shift working alone so I didn’t expect to get comments about how great I am to residents at 4am from anyone. It’s simple things like this that make the chaotic nights worth it. It’s really great knowing that I’m an appreciated part of the staff from my higher ups.

5. Do you party a lot?

I’d have to say no to this one. I’m not really a partier I think the last time I went to a party was St. Patrick’s day. I also work most nights on the weekends and use that as my excuse.

18. Have you had any roommates? How were they?

I’m currently living with my fourth roommate. I lived with 3 people last year and I only keep in contact with one.. One girl and I didn’t mesh too well and the other ended up moving out really early fall semester so I didn’t get to know her very well. My current roommate is one of my very good friends and it’s going pretty well so far!

39. Do you have a job on campus?

Yes I do! I work as a night receptionist.

College Asks

Hi everyone!

In honor of a lot of students heading off to college – whether it be for the first time or the fourth time – and starting classes soon, and in thanking you all for helping me reach almost 300 followers (still completely convinced most of you think this is a Chris Cornell fan page but that’s okay I love you guys the most for sticking with me anyway), I decided to make a list of College Asks!

They’re intended for people who are in/have recently graduated from college, but high schoolers can do them too with a little imagination and the addition of the future tense (e.g. 6. How often do you PLAN ON VISITING home)!

Feel free to ask me any of these, and please reblog so your followers can ask them to you! And good luck/have fun to everyone starting school soon!!!

1. If you were making your college decision again, would you choose the same school? 2. What’s been your favorite class so far? 3. Are you planning to minor or double major in anything? 4. If you had to choose a major other than the one you’re currently pursuing, what would it be? 5. Do you party a lot? 6. How often do you visit home? 7. How often do you talk to your parents? 8. How long did it take you to make a solid friend group? 9. What clubs do you participate in? 10. What extracurricular is your favorite? 11. Did you rush? If so, why did you decide to and how was the experience? If not, why not? 12. What’s your favorite way to procrastinate? 13. What do you typically do on a Friday night? 14. What advice would you give incoming freshmen? 15. What would you do differently freshman year? 16. Have you taken any classes just for fun? What were they? 17. What is your current housing situation and how do you like it? 18. Have you had any roommates? How were they? 19. What classes do you plan on taking in the future? 20. Do you plan to study abroad? Where? If not, why not? 21. Who was your favorite professor and why? 22. Who was your least favorite professor and why? 23. What do you miss the most about home? 24. If you were reapplying to schools, would you keep your original college list or change it? 25. How do you like the town your college is in? 26. Have you switched majors? If so, why? 27. Did you know what you wanted to major in from the very start? If not, how long did it take you to declare your major? 28. What’s your favorite spot on campus? 29. How’s the food on campus? 30. What time do you usually go to bed/wake up on school nights? On weekends? 31. What are your goals for the upcoming semester? 32. What’s been the hardest class you’ve taken so far? 33. What’s your go-to method for getting rid of stress? 34. Do you prefer taking classes in the morning or in the evening? 35. What career are you planning on pursuing? 36. If you could have any job in the world, what would it be? 37. How much of a factor was your financial aid package in your college decision? 38. How do you decorate your dorm? 39. Do you have a job on campus? 40. What do you plan to do after graduation?

I finished my work early tonight, so I decided to add some more questions! 41. Have you transferred? If so, from where and why?

42. Would you ever transfer from your current school?

43. Do you have any good party stories?

44. What’s your favorite place on campus to study?

45. How often do you get homesick?

46. If you could pick up your college and move it to a different location, where would you move it?

47. Do you think there’s time for romantic relationships in college?

48. What’s your opinion on the “work hard, play hard” mindset?

49. Have you ever had a really terrible professor?

50. What’s the easiest class you’ve taken?

51. Have you ever felt unsafe on your campus?

52. Do you still keep in contact with friends from high school?

53. Have you ever gotten made fun of because of your major?

54. Do you ever go to office hours?

55. Are you good at time management?

56. What do you use any spending money for?

57. Do your parents give you an allowance or do you pay for everything on your own?

58. How much Netflix do you watch?

59. Have you ever missed/forgotten about an exam, essay, or assignment?

60. What’s the best part about college?

10% off books at Target.com!

Now through Oct. 31, 2015 with code BOOKS10.

If you’re into buying books from Target (or even if you’re not), I just discovered that they have a 10% off books promo code (BOOKS10) good through Halloween (2015). Target doesn’t have a huge book selection, but chances are you’ll find some recent bestsellers on your to-buy list. Code is good online only.

Happy shopping!

For my college gals

My favorite student organization is CHAARG! I really enjoy it and it’s a great way to stay motivated throughout the year with your health goals. I have met so many amazing girls through it and it’s the one organization I strongly suggest checking out.

Check out the Instagram

I’m not being paid in fit gear to say these things. I WISH! If you have any questions about it I’d love to chat with ya!
