Kise stared at his phone with a grin plastered across his face, blinking slowly at the messages. Well, that went swimmingly. Actually, it went a lot better than things usually went. And that was good enough for him. Figuring texting the shooter back would be futile, he stood and stretched out his arms, rubbing at his face as he checked the time on his phone. In which he almost dropped. One thirty. One thirty?! It was already noon! What was this guy thinking?! Did he really think that an hour, at the least, was enough time for Kise to get ready?!

There was no time to waste, then. If he was late, Midorima was sure to have his head. Even if he didn’t look his best, he had to get going. A groan passed his lips as he got to work, fervently picking out clothes and brushing his teeth at the same time. He really took things too seriously for his own good. Like he’d be penalized for being a minute or two late.

Then again, this was Midorima..

He’d be better off getting there as early as he could, which meant rushing on his hair and his face and.. Ugh. Why was he such a nice guy. Why did he actually care about befriending the megane. The whole situation was a bit farfetched, Kise thinks. He only wants to hang out with him for his stupid horoscope. He should have figured.

It was already nearing one as he finished up, and the internal panic was back again as he found himself running, literally running, out the door. His poor hair.. It’d probably be ruined by the time he got to the station. But that was alright, he could forget about it for a little while. Maybe. He could try. He’d try very hard.

At least he’d make it on time. He’d probably be bombarded with fans upon his arrival, but he’d make it. And that was all that mattered to him, right now. He was determined to have a good day, and even try to get on Midorima’s good side. Of course! He’d succeed! Over and over, the thought flooded his head as he stood waiting, even when surrounded by squealing girls.

Midorima eyes searched the platform for a glimpse of blonde hair, but he found screaming girls before that. A sigh escaped his lips. This was inevitable, and he hoped they could get this part over quickly. As he moved closer to the group of excited girls, he could hear them shouting out his former teammate's name, all of them vying for his attention at the same time. Pathetic. Didn't they realize how absolutely ridiculous and desperate they all looked? Didn't they possess any dignity or self-respect at all?

Clearing his throat loudly, Midorima stepped forward, ignoring the vicious looks he received from the girls. "Kise." They all looked at him in shock, as if they couldn't believe he'd dared to speak to Kise in the first place. Midorima merely readjusted his glasses, sighing. "Come. We don't have time for you to sign autographs." Not that they had made any specific plans at all, but he wasn't about to wait around while the blonde attended to his fans. Midorima was already walking off by the time the girls registered what he'd said, fully expecting Kise to handle the situation.

Now that he was here, though, what was he expected to do? How would Kise want to spend the day? Midorima hadn't had anything in mind. It wasn't as if he did these sorts of things on a normal basis. He and Takao went out often, but that was because the other boy was usually somewhere at his heels. Hmph. He would simply let it happen, then, and hopefully not be harassed by any more of Kise's moronic, mouth-breathing fangirls

  • Who is louder?

Midorima, probably, much to his embarrassment. He always starts off completely silent, muffling to his own noises, but that never lasts for long.

  • Who is more experimental?

Akashi. Midorima is willing to try things for Akashi when they are suggested (within reason, of course), but he's not creative in that sense at all. He's much more likely to resort to thorough, true and tried methods. All of his ideas are vanilla at best.

  • Who takes more risks?

Again, Akashi, for the same reasons as above.

  • Do they fuck or make love?

A bit of both.

  • Lights on or off?

Midorima is often embarrassed and flustered with the lights on, but once his glasses are off, he can't see very much anyway. It's a mix.

  • Who is more likely to be caught masturbating?

Akashi? Though likely neither of them.

  • Who is more likely to suggest a threesome?

Akashi.

  • Has either stolen the other’s underwear?

No.

  • Who comes first?

Usually Midorima. Again, to his embarrassment. He actively tries to turn the tables, however, and he can be very determined about sending Akashi over the edge first. When he's got this goal in mind, he usually follows through.

  • Who is better at oral and who prefers it?

Midorima rarely does, citing how disgusting the entire process is, but once he does, not only is he rather skilled at it, but he fully enjoys it. Refusing to do it the majority of the time is mostly to cover this up, though he suspects Akashi knows anyway, as he knows most everything else.

  • Who is more submissive?

Midorima. Not that he would ever admit such a thing.

  • Who usually initiates things?

Akashi.

  • Who is more sensitive?

Midorima, and Akashi knows exactly where.

  • Who has the most patience?

They're both very patient people, though Midorima is more likely to get flustered and irritated with teasing.

  • Which kinks do they share?

The first time Akashi suggested Midorima take off his glasses, he was completely against it. It made him feel unnecessarily vulnerable. Now, it's something they both enjoy, to the point of blindfolds and other types of sensory deprivation. They also experiment sometimes with power games. Midorima would never admit to wanting such things, and he'd only allow them with Akashi.

"…And why would that be, Akashi?" He didn’t know exactly how he’d managed to get into a situation where the two of them were shopping together, but it seemed ridiculous that he was getting this sort of advice from his former captain. Huffing, he crossed his arms, but nonetheless turned his attention away from the shirt he’d been briefly considering. "It is in my lucky color for today." That happened to be a rather obnoxious and distasteful shade of pink, but it couldn’t be helped. One couldn’t argue with such things.

Seemed like he would have his way once again – not that he hadn’t already predicted this, but he had doubted from the first glance at the color that Midorima would actually like it. Seemed like he wasn’t wrong. It just clashed too much with his hair… and it didn’t exactly scream manly on a person like the green haired miracle. So, a vest would indeed do.
"Of course, Shintarou. I am already here after all," he replied simply, as if it was the obvious answer. "You should probably go get changed again, I will look for a vest in the meanwhile," he added then, smirking lightly. It wasn’t like Midorima could just run around in that shirt before he bought it after all. Walking away from the changing room then, he started to look around for a simply vest, preferable in the color black, since it would be the most natural to something like this.
Having found three different vests by the time Midorima came out, he presented them before the taller male. “How about one of these, Shintarou?” he questioned, idly wondering why he was helping Midorima out when he had actually come to get clothes for himself. Ah, probably because he wasn’t really in the mood to look for anything to himself.

Midorima sighed as he made his way back into the dressing room, shaking his head. Although he did indeed respect Akashi, taking fashion advice from him was another story. What was there to do about it, though? If the other male wanted to waste his own time advising Midorima on such things, he would let it happen. He did feel better about the entire situation when he was back into his own clothes.

He raised an eyebrow when he came out to be met with several choices for a vest. His gaze wandered over all three of them, not seeing any stark differences between them. There was nothing particular about these vests that would help his luck in any way, and as far as he could see, they would look much the same on him. "Any of those will do," he finally said, shrugging his shoulders. "They all look rather the same." He adjusted his glasses again, his cheeks a bit pink as he admitted his lack of knowledge in this particular field. Presentation was important, but Midorima spent as little time as possible concerning himself with such things. "Don't you have your own shopping to attend to, Akashi? I wouldn't want to keep you." Which was a good way of not admitting that he rarely came to this side of town to do his shopping, and he was a bit out of his element.

It wasn’t abnormal for Kise to heed Oha Asa’s warnings. Every so often, he would check to see how his standings were. Majority of the time, being on days he had games or important photo shoots. However, today was different. After days of games and other outings, he found himself subconsciously looking to his phone to see if everything would work out for him.

Today, surprisingly, the outlook didn’t seem as bleak as he expected. The day had started out slow, but he supposed it was nice out. Maybe he could get some shopping done, or meet up with some teammates and play a practice game. The opportunities were endless, for a guy like him. What, with his social standing and his appearance in general, he could probably spend time with whoever he wanted. Whether they liked him for not.

He leaned back in his chair, flipping his phone shut with a snap. Now all he had to do was choose. What was he in the mood for? Did he have the patience to deal with fans, today? Was Kasamatsu’s shouting going to go in one ear and out the other? No, no, he was most likely busy. How upsetting. This inability of choosing left him at a standstill.

As if on cue, his phone went off, an annoying ringtone resonating throughout the kitchen. So someone was contacting him first, for once? That was a nice change of pace, for sure.

A smile graced his lips as he flipped his phone back open, blinking at the unread messages. Well, that was peculiar. What would Midorima want from him? Maybe his good morning texts finally got to him? No matter, there had to be a reason. Upon opening the messages, his mood only got lighter and lighter. What, no death threats? An actual prompt to spend time with him? What happened to the guy? Kise leaned back in his chair and let a string of laughter leave his lips as he typed away, responding to the shooter in a hype.

[TEXT TO: Midorimacchi!]

Ohayo, Midorimacchi! What a surprise, you talking to me first. You must be in a good mood!

[TEXT TO: Midorimacchi!]

I have no plans as of now, so we can meet up wherever you’d like~!

[TEXT TO: Midorimacchi!]

Uuuuuwa, I can’t believe you’re asking to spend time with me! Is this a date, Midorimacchi? (´▽`ʃƪ)~♥

The first text had him cringing. By the third, Midorima was pinching the bridge of his nose to relieve the headache he could already feel coming on. Another heavy sigh escaped his lips as he glared down at the message, his cheeks pink despite himself. Was this really going to be worth whatever luck he was afforded in the end? But there was a match coming up, and one day of bad luck could easily turn the tides. He would simply have to bear with the circumstances for now.

[TEXT TO: Kise]

Die.

That should be answer enough to the question. He was already sending another message, one as to the point as he could manage.

[TEXT TO: Kise]

It is simply a good idea to spend my time with Gemini today, which you happen to be. Do not think anything of it.

[TEXT TO: Kise]

Don't bother coming to me. I will meet you at the train station at one thirty. Do not be late.

With that, he snapped his phone shut without bothering to wait for a reply, going about gathering his things and tucking his lucky item safely in his pocket as he grabbed a jacket and headed out the door.

The train ride gave him plenty of time to regret this decision, but there was no going back by that time, and at least Oha Asa seemed to think such things were a good idea. His eyes scanned the platform as he stepped off, already searching for Kise in the crowd, not that he was ever particularly hard to find. If there was a large grouping of girls anywhere in the near vicinity, he would consider him found. The thought had him inwardly sighing, and he adjusted his glasses, shifting the weight of his bag as he did. Today was likely to be a headache and a half, but at least it would amount to good fortune.

Cancer's ranking today was shockingly, and rather worryingly, low.

As a general rule, there were very few days where Cancer fell so close to the bottom, and the mere thought of it -- though he wouldn't outright admit it to others, of course -- had him in a bit of a panic. Even a larger lucky item wouldn't be likely to boost his luck enough to warrant him getting much of anything done, but the thought of staying indoors and waiting for something to happen to him wasn't an entirely pleasant one. His lucky item was something as simple as a ballpoint pen, and there wasn't much he could do to make that luckier, unless he planned to spend his day searching novelty stores for something super-sized and ridiculous. Somehow, that didn't seem like his ideal for a Saturday afternoon.

There had been, however, a suggestion in the horoscope, and one that he was going to have to take full advantage of.

His compatibility with Gemini today was nearly off the charts. If he spent his time with a Gemini, not only would his luck be boosted enough that nothing unfavorable happened, it had been predicted that something particularly good would happen to him. There was no reason not to assure such a thing happened.

The problem, of course, was finding a Gemini. He'd spent much of the morning sifting through a list of potentials. Takao was a Scorpio. His other teammates weren't options, either. When they were exhausted, his mind went to his former teammates. Akashi would be the preferred choice, but he was a Sagittarius, Kuroko an Aquarius. Muraskibara and Aomine would out as well, not that he had any particular want to spend time with either of them. That had left Kise.

Kise, as it turned out, was indeed a Gemini.

Midorima had spent a good hour debating on whether or not the extra luck was worth a day spent with the ever-energetic Kise Ryouta, before deciding, ultimately, that the pros, in this case, had to outweigh the cons. With a sigh, he'd taken out his phone, scrolling through the list of contacts and finding the blond's name, and gave a final another long suffering sigh before he actually began to send the message.

[TEXT TO: Kise]

Kise.

Despite deliberation on the best way to phrase this, Kise was likely to take it the wrong way regardless. Midorima decided that it wasn't worth the lost time.

Akashi raised an eyebrow at Midorima’s reaction, smirking inwardly at the blush adorning the green haired male’s features and the way he nervously adjusted his glasses from what he had said. “On purpose? I have no need to do such a thing, Shintarou,” he assured, finding it amusing how easily flustered Midorima could get. Not that it was a surprise, but the bespectacled male hadn’t changed on this point either it seemed.
"You might find the choice of shirt ridiculous, but it hugs your features. It attracts more attention than usual, but that is only a good thing," he explained, leaning against the wall of the dressing room, his heterochromatic hues never leaving Midorima’s body. The green haired miracle had the body for that type of shirt, but he supposed that it showed off a bit too much for the tsundere male to handle. "If anything, you can always wear a vest over it, Shintarou. I assume that you only need to wear your lucky color, but don’t need to show it off, correct?" from what he had gathered, then that was the truth. Besides that, then this shirt was more affordable than the one Midorima had looked at before.

Since when was this sort of attention a positive thing? Midorima huffed again, keeping his arms crossed firmly over his own chest, feeling more than a bit... well, it wasn't self-conscious. He knew perfectly well that he was in shape, and there was no way to deny that with all the extra practice he put in. It was more on the side of vulnerable, if he was to put a name to it.

A vest would easily solve the problem, however, and he berated himself for not thinking of it in the first place. "Ah... Correct, nanodayo." He fiddled with his glasses again, the quirk more than telling of how flustered he still was. When his lucky color was something particularly garish, he was more likely to hide it under a jacket or something else of the sort. "Are you going to advise me on that, as well?" He meant it in a more sarcastic manner, but he had to wonder.

When had he gotten himself in the position where he was on a shopping trip with Akashi, anyway? Midorima often wondered what put him into these ridiculous situations.

Takao snickered a little when he saw the blush on Midorima’s face, though he knew he himself was blushing. It was not everyday they got this close to each other after all. Grinning, the hawk moved the hand holding the phone out of reach, leaning up a little to be closer to the other. “Hmm.. but if I give it back then you’ll get up, and I must say. I rather like being this close to you, Shin-chan~!.”

He liked... being this close to him? Midorima felt his cheeks heat up even more at Takao's admission, and it didn't help at all that he'd somehow squirmed himself even closer. A flustered huff escaped his lips as he sat up, more than aware of the position he'd put himself in the process. "Fool!" he sputtered, scowling down at the other male. "D-Don't say nonsense things like that, nanodayo!"

Takao knew the minute Midorima decided to run, that he would not be able to get away that easily. What he did not expect was to be caught so soon. He made a startled noise when he felt himself loose balance, shifting slightly so he ended up landing on his back with the phone clenched tightly in his hands.

"Shin-chan, if I knew you wanted to pin me down, then all you had to do was ask." Suggest eye brow wiggle.

The moment he realized their predicament, Midorima's cheeks were a bright, heated pink, and Takao's comment did nothing to change that fact. "BAKAO!" His shout this time was much more flustered and screechy, and he attempted to compose himself even as he reached for the hand that the fool was currently holding his phone in. "Give that back to me now," he demanded, still flustered as he grabbed for it.

Akashi could only inwardly smirk at the sound that left Midorima’s mouth, yet the green haired male still left to try on the shirt. The shape of the shirt would most like surprise the taller male, merely because if would hug his figure a lot more than usual. Akashi didn’t lie when it said that it would fit him better, though. It would surely turn heads as well.

Akashi glanced around the shop as he waited for Midorima to come out of the dressing room, his heterochromatic eyes turning towards the green haired teen once he stepped out. Eyeing how the shirt hugged Midorima’s body quite well. Nodding his head, he walked closer before circling around the other male once, stopping before him then. “It does indeed look ridiculous, but that is not the shape’s fault. I would blame the color,” he replied, then motioned for the people around them. “It does indeed fit you, otherwise people would be laughing instead of drooling whilst looking at you, Shintarou,” Akashi then assured, smirk finding a way to his face. Once Midorima realized that other people were looking, then he would surely become even more embarrassed.

image

Midorima huffed at Akashi's response at first. Of course he would mock such a choice in color, but it wasn't as if Midorima had made the choice himself. Lucky colors were not to be debated with, and if it would help persuade Fate in his favor, it was worth whatever embarrassment it caused him in the process. A lucky color today could easily be a lucky color in days to come, and it would serve him well to have it in his wardrobe in case he ever had need of it. However --

His cheeks immediately heated as Akashi pointed out the people that seemed to be watching him, his eyes wide behind his glasses. "Drooling?! They are doing no such thing, nanodayo!" Just the thought of it had him sputtering, and he adjusted his glasses in an attempt to regain his composure, clearing his throat. "Did you do this on purpose, Akashi?" He accused, his eyes narrowed as he turned his attention back to his former captain. Why else would he suggest such a ridiculous choice? The shirt felt like it was hugging him much too tightly, and he found himself crossing his arms over his chest in a subtle attempt to hide himself.
