Around October I decided for carnival I was going to make my costume and go on the road. I didn’t care about anyone. I was just going to go and play ah mas.
I had never played mas before, but I knew how it was supposed to make me feel. I wanted to put on a costume. Take on a persona, be sexy, be cute and have fun. On a budget.
I told my friend and she was on board from the beginning. I modeled my costume after the Phoenix from Kanye’s runaway video played by Selita Ebanks. I wanted to look naked.
So I made my costume, I went on the road, and I conquered
