This delicate tiny carving of a water bird was created c. 33,000 years ago.

Thought to be a diver, cormorant, or duck, the figure is from beak to tail 4.7 cm long.

The sculpted piece of mammoth ivory, found in Hohle Fels cave in Germany, may be the earliest representation of a bird.

I am always blown away by this. Like. This little girl was alive and laughing and wearing her little hat and in the sunshine over 100 years ago. And her cat was eating little treats from her hands and having a fun little time over 100 years ago. Like. Their existence in history is recorded as so much more than the moody and serious black and white Victorian family portraits. AND WE GET TO SEE IT AND FEEL AS HAPPY AS THEY WERE! I have so many feelings!

the issue with ttpd personally is that I love some of the songs but sadly I've been force-fed her personal life so much, these details keep coming and leaves a bad taste in my mouth

You can't say "1830s without the racist" after writing an album about matty healy

"So high school" is a cute love song, but it's about our xenophobic racist king tk

"I can fix him" have some elements I like but it's about mh and her getting offended she's being held responsible for her problematic actions

"guilty as sin?" is one of my favs, but it reads very different when you know (unfortunately) the context

"so long, london" is amazing, but just like "renegade" she blames joe alwyn for having mental health issues, but also out them to the world which is the worst part of it all

wishing I didn't know the context, but it is practically impossible to engage in any taylor swift space without knowing

#yeah these are my feelings in a nutshell#just listening to the songs at face value (which tbh is how music should reasonably be consumed?) there are some good tracks amid the bloat#but the context is just icky. and I can’t believe there isn’t more blowback about the bonus tracks fiasco which was so blatantly greedy.#but also…..I have to admit that this album would’ve been my lifeline 7 years ago after things ended with my garbage ex#recognizing that someone was shitty and treated you like shit and will continue to treat others like shit and you just gotta live with it?#being lowkey horrified that you were ever down THAT BAD for a soggy rotten newspaper of a human?#yeah I felt that#but for the record this ex is a garbage human but at least they weren’t a fratboy ironic bigot like Healy is#taylor swift#still can’t believe her team let her get away with the 1830s line
