"When I was younger, I used to keep diaries and journals about all the stuff I did. I always had a notebook and pencil with me…" She smiled, reminiscing. "There was never a day where I didn’t write in my journal."

Jace chuckled, turning the page as he scanned for the spells that caught his attention. Some would be impressive enough, but he preferred being subtle... He turned the page again, shaking his head. "Oh really? Sounds like you had that path in mind for a long time..."

A few small noises came from her as she began to calm down. She flinched as Kael moved, still a little jumpy. Her small body curled up. Her appearance changed a lot since Kael left.

Her black hair was slowly turning white from all the stress and fear. Every bit of confidence she had was gone.

Kael drew her in, trying to calm and console her, mind turning as he thought angrily at the turn of events. He kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back slowly.

Hira dug through her bag and pulled out a small composition notebook. “Journalism. You?” She grabbed a pencil and began to write.

Jace smiled. "That's rather nice. I? I am here for... other studies... Let's just call it history..." he said, knowing that many looked at magic users as crazy... He shrugged, wanting to not get off on the wrong foot. "How'd you get into Journalism, anyway?

Thalia squeezed him tightly. “Its all my fault…” she whined, tears rolling down her cheeks. She pulled away from him and sat down, her face in her hands.

Kael knelt in front of her, grabbing her hands and pulling them away from her face. "Look at me, it isn't your fault. If anything, it is mine, for being gone for so long..." he said, shifting to cover his scars, his scales converting to skin. "Come here..." he said, hands reaching forward to try cradling her...

She sighed. “I didn’t know I was gonna room with a boy.” Hira examined Jace, kicking her legs a little.

Jace chuckled. "And I didn't know I was gonna room with a female. Looks like we were both wrong..." he said, picking up his book, turning the page. He was looking some of the more dark magics, feeling he needed to expand his knowledge. "So, what is your major?"

Kael tightened his grip, feeling his rage well up inside. He shouldn't have gotten caught... he shouldn't have been gone for so long... He growled, feeling his skin shift to scales slowly, hardening. He was going to do things to those who harmed her that were unspeakable...

Kael wrapped his arms around his love quickly, conflicting emotions rising. He was happy to be back after so long, but was feeling the anger and sadness from her news. He clutched her close. "Tell me what happened, all of it..." he said, eyes flashing...

Hira smiled, “Thank you Jace. I hope it’s not too heavy.” She watched him take the box. “I gotta go get the others. I’ll be back!” She headed back outside and to her car, opening taking some smaller, lighter boxes out. She carried them up the steps and took a few more trips before she was done. She gave a relieved sigh. “Done…” She played with her skirt and sat down.

Jace smiled, putting the box down next to her bed and sighing, waiting for her to finish up. "All done? Well, then I must say, it is nice to be rooming with you, I wasn't sure when I heard your name, but I think we can get along swimmingly."
