So, I know this blog has been dead for years now, but I’ve gotten a couple messages recently asking about the progress on getting my old red beauty fic published, so I thought I’d post an update!
Rewriting a piece of fanfiction with original characters has turned out to be a MUCH more involved process than I expected. The new version is turning out more personal, more complex, more ambitious, just generally...more. So I’m having a ton of fun with it, but it’s taking me a long time to get it right. But there’s good news! I’m almost finished with this draft, I’ve found a literary agent who loves it, and we’re hoping to sell it before the year is out. Which is a huge if! It could take much longer. It might not find a home at all. I have no control over those things. But just rest assured the wheels are still turning over here--and if the book does find a home, you all will be the first to know. :)
