sirius and remus raising harry though.

them hiding away in a small muggle town. sirius and remus buying out the corner store from an old retiring lady and turning it into coffee shop-library

harry growing up around the rich aroma of books and caramel and coffee beans

remus homeschooling harry; one day harry will decide he wants to know about astronomy, the next greek myths, and remus just rolls with it because he knows what it’s like to be in love with the freedom of an afternoon spent curled up with a good book and a mug of hot milk next to him

sirius with his motorbike and leather jacket being the total rebel of the town, remus the quiet bookworm that everyone knows

remus leaving little notes in everyone’s library books: recommendations, fanmixes, comments

sirius drawing sketches and caricatures of customers on their coffee cups

harry greeting everyone cheerfully, talking to the other children and being extra polite to the adults. all the other kids being jealous of harry because he has the ‘coolest parents ever’

sirius and remus and harry being a happy, ordinary family

I think the reason why the phrase “I’m not like most girls” annoys me so much is because women have been conditioned to feel like they have to disassociate themselves from the female gender to be recognised as an interesting human being and if that isn’t fucked up then I don’t know what is

teaching your children to have control over their body and not let ppl touch them if they dont want to does absolutely no harm and establishes autonomy and the importance of consent. it may piss off your aunt that gives way too many hugs but children need to understand that if they don’t want to be touched, they never have to allow it just to make someone else happy.

I’m so tired of people telling me German is an “ugly, angry” language. When my German teacher tells us jokes it’s the sweetest, happiest language in the world. When I teach my father the word for daughter he smiles, repeating “Tochter” to himself until he gets it right, and in that moment German sounds like pride. There’s nothing angry or ugly about a language that never says goodbye, only “until we meet again.”

Thank you for this
