among the least surprised i’ve ever been to find out somebody that was “big” in niche parts of the english touhou fandom in the late-2000s is actually a bad person

online egos back then were HUGE so if they were popular they were usually some kind of self-absorbed asshole. touhou was like, PEAK for that. it was like a “le sekret klub” environment.

like shit dude. i was a self-absorbed asshole too.

some of us never got off that train while the rest of us realized it was miserable and decided to try and be okay people instead

Are you talking about in-universe? Because at this point I’ve got so many headcanons after several years of collaborating with stardancer mun to write books on the religious figures and systems of faith from the standpoint of the universe that Touhou resides in.

My out-of-world personal answer is much less interesting, but available if you’re curious.)

Like...I haven’t posted on this site in 5 months and I still can’t fucking bring myself to just walk away

Let’s just be real here. All the art is going to disappear, no one will use tags, and we’ll keep showing up asking tumblr to keep the good shit coming as it spirals slowly and agonizingly towards the bottom of the ocean.

Update

(Well, this blog hasn’t been around in a while.

The whole ‘communion’ thing was a nice idea, but it turns out it was one of those things that sound really cool, until you try to plug it into other things. If I really wanted to make it work out I’d need to build the whole world around it, which I don’t really feel like doing. Would make a better fanfiction than an RP blog.

So I decided to repurpose the blog into a multimuse. I wanted one blog per muse originally, but I’m about 30 muses in and I’ve realized yeah that really isn’t going to work. So here we are!)
