The worst (and sometimes best) Jesus's fan club has to offer

@wtffundiefamilies / wtffundiefamilies.tumblr.com

The OG fundie blog since 2012.  Felt like it was time to move away from mainly fundie discourse* and back towards general religious weirdness. Unless everyone hates that more than they hate what I do now, in which case...idk I'll get a new hobby, probably. I hadn't really thought that far ahead. *(maybe still recaps, because I genuinely love doing those, but instead of engaging in conversation myself, I'll just hope people want to use my posts for their own community interactions and stay out of it. I want people to like reading here. I want to contribute something people want. And hopefully those who don't like me might still find something worthwhile here once I figure out what that is. idk.) Not sure if Jessa announced a name yet, but since she’s so close on Josie’s heels, I’m putting Hazel back on the table, assuming she and Ben may have chosen a name before Josie announced.  My other top picks are Alice, Eleanor/Ella, Lillian/Lilly, Ruby, Willa and Eden/Edie.

Other possibilities: Martha, Eliza, Emmeline/Emma, Abigail, Victoria, Sophia, Mercy, Honor/a, Helena, Ada, Irene, Haven, Charity, Olive, Maggie, Opal, Sarah, Charlotte/Lottie, Cora, Cara, Faith, Hope.  She’s mentioned liking old-fashioned names and the two kids she had some say in naming are Henry and Ivy, so that tracks.  Hope seems the likely contender for a middle name if it’s not the first name, possibly Faith, Grace, Christine or Mary/Leona.  Possibly Mae, although they did just have Evelyn Mae in the family.

Personally I think she should take Spurgeon’s idea and name this one Speeding-Delightning.

Edit: oh right, it could be a boy.  For some reason I assumed girl immediately.  Assuming they’re keeping on theme with boys, maybe Hugh, George or possibly Jonathan for a first name; Edwards, Whitefield, Calvin or Abercrombie for the middle?  I considered “Blair” but that might seem feminine for a boy?  I guess George is my guess but idk after Spurgeon it’s hard to predict with them!

Had no idea Jessa and Ben were expecting number 5, let alone that he was already four months old, but I'll call this one a win for me anyway! I guessed it for Fern if she had been a surprise boy, close enough.

In hindsight, why DIDN'T I have Augustine on the list as well? It seems so obvious now. (It's also my super-religious friend's son's middle name!)
