Love seeing this illustration getting a second life as a cover for a book on making of Dishonored games.
Published by The Third Éditions.
Javid, Steward of Knowledge. Painted for one of Patrons and Deities cards from Cantrip Candles.
hello! can i ask how long that victoro linocut took? it's beautifully intricate, and the detail precision turned out so well!
Thank You! Glad to hear You like it :D
Designing took a couple of hours spread over two evenings, so can't tell precisely how many, and then carving it about 4 or 5 hours in one sitting (which wasn't the best idea, i should probably do it in two so that my hands and eyes weren't as tortured after, but i'm hyperfixating a bit here XD).
Back to linocut with some raven themed divination magic.
his happy face ):<
With one of your favourite games being Pathologic I'm surprised you haven't drawn Artemy and the Bachelor kissing yet
Yeah, it is a bit surprising, not gonna lie XD
But i did develop a bit of a distanced relationship with fanart over last years. Having little time and energy to draw in general when i sit down to draw characters kissing i prefer to focus on drawing OCs because they gotta smooch more and no ones else is gonna do it XD
Kitty update: look at how shaped.
Continuing on the topic of Victoro's inventory:
a glass eye found at Blinsky's Toyshop, remade into a little divination device and serving as a spell component.
New body (and skeleton) references for Victoro.
There is stuff happening in our She Is The Ancient campaign with his hexblood transformation that i am exploring some visual ideas for - currently roots growing under his skin and over his skeleton (more on that some time later :))
edit: added the roots spread over the skeleton.
Some canon and non-canon interactions with Ezra (NPC from our CoS campaign) :>
Hello Kooks! Would you consider making an in-depth course/tutorial on how you paint/render? I'd certainly pay for it!
Hello, there has been a lot of these recently :)
I will try to think of something, but no promises, since my painting schedule has been so random recently it's hard to plan out and sit down to do something more coherent, but you can check this tag for some step by steps >>here here<<
Cheers <3
Hello, there's a book being published about the making and inspiration of Dishonored, and on this bookseller website, the cover art seems to be using one of your illustrations https://www.fr.fnac.be/a19320321/Loic-Delahaye-Hien-Dans-l-abime-de-Dishonored
Did you contribute to that book/consented to your art being used? I saw it and was worried it might be stolen art.
The book is only put on sale next March and this website is the only one with a cover art, none of the other sites have any cover image.
Hello,
thank You for keeping an eye out for me, but yes, everything is fine here, the publisher contacted me and does have the rights to use this picture for the book cover :)
Which by the way makes me very happy, it is one of my fav Dishonored illustration, so I'm glad it is getting a second life in print :)
Thanks again! <3
I was inspired today to draw Kooks' handsome lad Victoro, from our Curse of Strahd game 💚
An alternative cover I've painted last year for the Book / Deck of Many Things has been released, and I am very happy with how it turned out in print / on the final product :)
I knew something about the art style felt familiar!
It's the golds. I love the way you do golds.
I pick up my copy sometime in the next few days at my local game store and now I'm even more excited for it!
Just picked it up!
Kooks, you killed this art!
Omg i haven't seen the printed book yet! But I'm so happy with how it looks argh argh!
