A steady day.

I came so close to finishing the puzzle at therapy. If I hadn't also run to the store, I would have. But Peyten helped finish the last dozen pieces when she came out. Cute, fun, easy puzzle.

When I dropped Peyten off at school, there was a car parked on the sidewalk. Apparently, it needed a charge! lol #smalltowntesla

I went for a short and easy run today. Walked a few times briefly due to pain, but nothing crazy.

Fitbod was good. I love that back muscle :P

The app usually estimates the weight I will be able to do pretty well. But there are times it's a nope.

I did go for the 25 pounds for the single arm front press and was able to do that. A little difficult toward the end of each set.

But for the hammer pause curl, I dropped it down to 20 lbs. That was enough.

Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole was canceled for last week, so we are doing two practices this week. Today and tomorrow. Veronica led today and I will lead tomorrow.

It has felt a little disorganized with various factors. I think we have 11 kids total, but they have never all been there on the same day. Two dropped out and we have only had three practices. And we will only have three more plus a practice 5k before the actual 5k.

Only 4 kids were there today, but we made the best of it. With doing a make-up day on Thursday, it coincided with other practices and schedules.

After practice, I managed some meal prep. I could have saved it for tomorrow, but I was glad to get it done today. I had momentum so I kept it going.

Shrimp Peanut Stir Fry, Chicken, Salmon, Broccoli, Brussels, and Cauliflower.

Rounded out the evening with our google meet! <3

And now I am very ready to crawl into bed.

I passed this house on a run the other day and someone was blaring music and working inside. I saw them again a day or two later.

The house is bare bones. I am super curious as to what they do with it.

Today on my run no one was there at the time, so I snapped some pictures. Maybe in a few months, I will have an update!

There are quite a few run-down houses in my town, so I'm always glad to see someone working on improvements.

A hopeful day.

No issues getting kids to school today! No issues yesterday either actually.

I got some work done first thing and then made sure to get a workout in since I planned to donate.

I really shouldn’t have tried to run at all, but I just really wanted to. I was just going to run a mile. I made it a half mile before I felt pain in my foot. I walked the remainder. Pain was even worse toward the end.

And then I got in a Fitbod. My arms were feeling this one. I will say that there was a time that I couldn't do more than a rep of 15lbs on the Dumbbell Shoulder Raise, so progress! Five reps was pretty much my max though.

Donating went well. Iron was 39, meh. And protein was 6.2, also meh. But passable on both! And my weight was 150.2 with my heavy boots on. That is about as close as I can get! If I start weighing in under 150 I'll have to think about what I want to do. The pay decrease makes it not really worth it with the drive.

Nox and Finn (and I) have been dealing with another hiccup with the apartment. Apparently, we misunderstood the woman from the office AGAIN. When she allowed them to move in and gave us a week to get the vaccination records, it meant the cats could not move in yet. I don't know what it is with this lady and how we can't just seem to communicate.

It probably would have been a non-issue, but Nox told them about a couple things that needed to be fixed and when maintenance came, they saw the cats. So now they want the cats out until we get the records. Which Nox and Finn believe they should have tomorrow. Oof.

I'll be glad when that is all done and settled. What a headache.

Tonight was our last night of Timeless; s1e13 & s1e14. The show is leaving Hulu Saturday so unless another streaming service picks it up, we will be watching another show next week. I think we are going with 12 Monkeys. Stacey and I have seen it, but Corinne has not. With Timeless, Stacey and Corinne had seen it, but I had not.

IF: 16.75

I'm attempting a switch up in my diet/routine. Calorie goal is a little higher. I'm still going to IF but won't likely be shooting for any longer fasting windows. Maybe around 13-14 hours. It'll depend on how the food goes.

Curious to see how my body reacts to the switch up. It isn't too drastic really, but we shall see.

A pensive day. A reflecting day.

I didn't have anything I had to do today beyond work. No errands or trips to Kzoo. I could donate but decided to push that to Wednesday. Today was just a day to decompress.

I had the house to myself from 10 to 3 and that helped. A quiet empty house is therapeutic.

And I was craving ice cream! I also was really craving a run. My foot has been so up and down I never know what to expect from it. Even the pain and where it presents isn't consistent.

I started out on the run and ran til I felt a sharp pain. I made it two miles!

And then I stopped for ice cream. I walked another mile and enjoyed the ice cream along the way.

I iced my foot when I got home. More preventative than anything because the pain stayed very minimal.

Later on, I got in a Fitbod as well. The fresh air, the running, the weights, using my muscles, it was all just very good today.

The evening will be spent relaxing and watching shows. My brain is still all over the place, but it is better.

Aydan doesn't always end up in my blog posts as much as Nox and Peyten. He rolls through life in the background a lot. He declines to do things that the other two would jump on so isn't as present in some of my outings.

I woke up at 6:15 and went downstairs to go to the bathroom. Aydan was there, up and dressed, making his ham sandwich. I believe he does this every morning, but I am most often not awake to see it.

There is such a drastic difference between all of my kids. Argument for the nature vs nurture debate for sure.

I have to drag Peyten out of bed in the morning and with Aydan I just wake up and say good morning because he's already up.

He takes a shower at 8:30 every school night and goes to bed shortly after. He wakes up every morning at 6am. Most often has a ham sandwich for breakfast. Wheat bread, mustard, mayo.

He stays up late playing games with his friends on the weekend but gets right back to his routine Sunday night.

He does what works for him and doesn't worry about what doesn't. He declines food if he isn't hungry. He doesn't spend money frivolously. He doesn't seem to give in to peer pressure of any sort. He does what interests him and ignores everything else.

If he does have to do something he doesn't really want to, he doesn't complain and he goes along willingly and is pleasant about it.

He is quiet and only talks as much as he feels is needed. Although he does get loud when playing with his friends online sometimes.

He is a calming person to be around. I'm enjoying watching him grow up. And definitely more watching than anything as he seems to be doing it all on his own without too much from me.

Not a great food day for reasons. I definitely allowed myself to stress eat. And had a few adult beverages at the end of the night.

On to the next day!

Kal-Haven Trail Race volunteering

I got there at 6:30 and the other person already had everything set up. She had gotten there at 6am. Not sure why as that is SUPER early. Race started at 7am and we are 2 miles from the start. They told us to be ready by 6:55.

At any rate, it was a pretty simple morning. Filled the waters and cheered on the runners. The numbers seemed super low this year. I’m going to check the roster to see how it compares to past years.

Got a little porch time in today. I feel bad though. Mama bird flies off as soon as I come outside and then Papa bird periodically comes back to check on the nest. They just wait for me to leave.

I ran a smidge. Foot started hurting at about .9 so I walked the rest. Meh.

I was going to get in a Fitbod as well but then I did a bunch of cleaning. That’s good for the day.

Im ready for these legs to get a little color though!

And I got a free hoodie for volunteering. It is last years, but it will do.

Productive day.

Taxes filed x 2. Clive and mine. Whew!

Laundry. I put it away!!

Plasma. Hematocrit at 39; barely passed.

Shopping. My groomsmen outfit. I had gotten the suit already, but grabbed shoes and a bra. $18 shoes $10 bra. Clearance prices!

Fitbod. Twas good.

Timeless. Watched another episode.

UFC 300. Clive and I watched the fights. A teammate if his was in the main event so we stayed up way past our bedtime to make sure and watch that one. It was a bit of a disappointment honestly. I feel bad for the guy. Knocked out in the first round.

The fight below, Green vs Miller, was really difficult to watch as well. Miller held his own for what it was, but he got demolished by Green.

As I was going to bed close to 2am, Peyten had a gift waiting for me. She said it was an early mother’s day gift. Since she makes her own money and has her own account, I had no clue she had bought anything for me. The sweetest ❤️

Seriously y’all. All those tree pieces just blend right in with each other.

I made tiny progress on it today.

I got in a walk. It only rained for a bit of it.

I started listening to 11/22/63 during the walk.

And then I got in a bunch of meal prep.

Shrimp Stir Fry. Rice. Beef Stroganoff. Egg Noodles. Chicken Quesadillas. Broccoli.

We are good for about a week I think.
