What did you get to do today? I was privileged to cleaning off toilet seats after unloading large congealed globs of blood from my vagina.

I’m smiling right now just picturing it. Isn’t life miraculous? How I can just bleed excessively to the point that my body is weakened and worn, bleed through multiple layers of linen, bleed for a week, bleed for a fucking year- no I really once bled for a fucking year, and still be alive? Technically?

Right now, I’m doing this thing where I rock back and forth and halfway Lamaze breathe in hopes of making in through this wave of cramps without puking.

And to think, I endure all of this for the sake of the possibility of one imperfect little human to call my own.
