“Ah, Lady Estellise. Good to see you again. How’re things outside the castle?”

          “Flynn!”

   Estelle ran up to the blond commandant excitedly, throwing her arms around him, and embracing him into a warm hug. It wasn’t uncommon for Estelle to forget about Flynn’s professionalism--or really--chose to not really care too much for it. She viewed Flynn as a friend, and wanted to treat him as such; he wasn’t just some other knight, nor did she want to treat him as such. Both he, and Yuri were incredibly important to her.  

          “It’s been going well. While traveling, I’ve been inspired with so many ideas to write for a new story. The children of Halure were a great help, and source of inspiration too.”

"Ohh you’ll show them off huh? Though I doubt they’re as bouncy as Judith’s, I sure wouldn’t mind watchin’!”

"I can be just as appealing as Judith, just you wait!" Estelle huffed as she went to the back, and change her outfit. She didn't necessarily like being thought of as a seductress, but she didn't like it more when people thought she as incapable of using any feminine wiles.

"I’ll help!" 

"Your help will be greatly appreciated."

There was the familiar notion of their hands touching, the way they always did when she healed his wounds. It soothed him somehow, not just from the spell being cast on him, but from the way her concern revealed itself in her touch. Firm, yet gentle at the same time.

When she posed the question, all he could do was smile and nod as he always had. Estelle probably knew what kind of answer he’d give, yet asked anyway. ”Good as new,” he said, sincerely meant. “Thanks.”

He took a few more seconds before pulling away, palm open and closing as he tested his left hand out. No sting this time. He let it fall to his side. ”Satisfied?”

Maybe now they can talk about that book of hers.

"You're welcome, Yuri. I'm glad I was able to help" Estelle smiled.  

With Yuri's wound was patched up, and he seemed to honestly be doing much better already. The subtle (and probably unconscious) hesitation he had in moving his left arm was now gone as he flexed to see if there was any residual pain or if anything else was out of order. 

"Very," she replied.  

Now that pleasantries, and an unexpected injury was taken care of the two could probably move onto other matters like catching up on how the other has been. Yuri was sure to have some great stories to share since they lost saw each other. 

The exploits of Brave Vesperia didn't get unheard, especially after the adephagos situation. Nothing they did was as grand, but the they were surely the talk of the town. And while it was nice to hear people talking so wonderfully about her friends, she wanted to hear it from Yuri himself first. 

"…"

And thus came the reasonable argument. Why did he bother, honestly? Compared to an emotional wound, this was more difficult to repress. There was nothing you could do with the things people could see, after all, the things you just couldn’t speculate on but instead come to an accurate conclusion.

…Right. Let’s get this over with.

With a sigh, Yuri surrendered his left arm, revealing a moderate gash that was earlier hidden by his sleeve. It decorated the side of his elbow like a nasty ketchup stain, but thankfully the sleeve of his shirt was long and dark enough for it to go unnoticed.

Not enough to get past Estelle, though.

Estelle didn't even give herself a moment to be disturbed by the wound on Yuri's arm.  To be honest, as far as wounds Yuri has had, this was rather on the light side, so she was grateful for that.  It could have been much worse.

Immediately, but gently, Estelle went to hold Yuri's arm in order not to further open the wound or cause more injury.  Holding his arm with her left hand, as her right hovered the gash, Estelle casted first aid.

"Yuri, how does that feel?" Estelle asked, still concerned with how he was feeling.  She couldn't be too cautious considering how Yuri had a terrible habit of hiding everything related to pain from her.  This moment was only one of a million examples of Yuri doing so.  

It wasn't that Estelle didn't trust Yuri, because she knew when it counted, Yuri would always tell her the truth, but she just wished he would trust her a bit more.  Trust that she could handle the truth.  She wanted Yuri to know he could go to her for anything.
