As an artist, may I recommend the cheaper alternative, Huion? I have been using it since starting digital and I really enjoy it, especially because I got to buy a bigger tablet for the same price which really help to speed up the drawing process and easy use.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but both Huion and XP Pen have been guilty of the same (in fact Huion is apparently straight up offering courses on AI)
That said, I can attest that Huion does make quality tablets, I've been using them for close to a decade now. It seems that every tablet manufacturer on the market is going this route, unfortunately.
