n i wanna be clear i had literally never heard of jojo siwa until a few months ago when i kept seeing memes about "she thinks she invented being a lesbian" "i hate the way she talks about girls" so this is truly my only frame of reference.

So, it seems like most of this is because of Jessalyn Siwa, who already had a reputation from Dance Moms. I was doing the mental math while reading and Jojo would have been 16-18 through the bulk of this timeline. I'm sure she was bratty and did say mean things to other children after hours of intense rehearsal. That is what children do. I do not think you can reasonably expect a girl who grew up on Dance Moms and continues to grow up under the supervision of her own Dance Mom to be completely perfect.
I also find it interesting that this is the first I've heard about Jojo and her mom creating a toxic work environment and exactly all of the criticism I've seen about her has been about how cringey her attraction to women is. Do you think there's something in that?
Has Jojo Siwa actually done anything to earn the internet’s ire besides being 20 and kind of cringey?
