Is this Ashton? I don’t understand how she trains TWO EVENTS and this is what one of them looks like. To actually DOWNGRADE on one event and still have basic form issues like this on her other when she only does two events and hasn’t competed since trials is ridiculous. Like WHAT does she do with her time???
...well, she could be struggling with injuries, illness, mental health, mental blocks, a growth spurt, problems in her home/school/social life, and a whole host of other things we have no way of knowing about. Gymnastics is HARD, even when training only two events. There are so many factors that can cause you to regress or do poorly, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re just lazy and don’t train or work hard. I think it’s sad to see someone do poorly like this. It must be hard to work your whole life, get so close to the Olympics, keep training with little to no break (as far as I know?) after narrowly missing out on your life’s dream, come back the next year hoping to have some redemption and success but regressing a lot instead.
