This is such an awful thing to say, but the more I look at my ex the more I’m glad I got out of it when I needed to. We both needed to move on. And quite frankly it makes me appreciate David even more than I already am, for being so stable and grounded and caring. He always laughed when I said I’m glad he knows how to take care of himself and be a responsible person because to him it’s ‘just the bare minimum of being a functional human’. But I’m not taking that for granted; I’ve been through with the man-child experience and to be honest, being a functional human is harder than it sounds. It requires responsibility, persistence, and determination. If I’m gonna get through grad school, I need to be a functional person, but I also need to be with a functional person. I can’t be the adult for two people, nor can I be the only voice of reasoning.

Ohio House Passes Bill to Criminalize Abortions Of Fetuses with a Heartbeat (6 weeks!) 11/16/18
Depending on who you ask, the heartbeat bill is no joke. Gov. Kasich vetoed a similar measure in 2016 but now the republican senate has enough majority to potentially overturn a veto. Many republican lawmakers are hoping to use ohio to bring abortion back to the federal supreme court and overturn Roe v Wade. This is all in the last article I linked from the New York Times btw
So if the first article sounds too clickbait-y for you just know that ohio is actually proposing, and has a good chance of passing strict anti-abortion laws 🙃
