I lost vision in my left eye in 2013. A weird and unexpected health issue appeared, and the process was long, painful and involved several surgical procedures. In the aftermath I felt shaken and extremely vulnerable. I hadn't just lost my eyesight - I'd lost control over my own body. I was very lucky to have an amazing network of support in my family, but I'll never forget how fragile and frightened - even paranoid - I felt during and after the whole ordeal.
---- I was asked to take part in Seen, an exhibition for World Mental Health day (9th - 11th October in Shoreditch, London). I chose to do something based on my own experience.
