I know it's been awhile since I posted, but...
...try watching The Great Gatsby without saying "Ol' Sport" after every time Gatsby says it. It's literally impossible.

Love this!!!
Extra note: It was my junior year of high school and I actually resisted at first. My friends had to talk me into watching it-- I went home and watched more. Then, I had my mom watch an episode with me and she was hooked too. The first episode I watched was Preggers, which is fitting since it was the first episode featuring Kurt and Burt's awesome fatherly bond.
http://tv.yahoo.com/news/westboro-baptist-church-plans-cory-monteith-funeral-protest-140119597.html
Honestly, I can't stay silent about this anymore. I know getting people angry is what the Westboro Baptist Church wants and I know just acknowledging them gives them the attention they desperately want, but I need to vent about this.
Since when did a hate group's (and I don't care if it's not legally recognized as one, it is a hate group) right to free speech trump someone's--who changed many lives for the better, has supported equal rights for everyone, and probably supported more charities than this supposed 'church' ever did-- right to a peaceful funeral? Doesn't Cory, his family and his friends, have the right to celebrate his life without a bunch of lunatics condemning what he believed in? Doesn't that trample all over Cory's free speech? Lately, whenever Westboro has tried to picket a funeral, there's either always a counter-protest or they decide not to. I'm hoping they'll decide not to, or failing that, there will be a counter-protest to protect Cory's family and friends from this evil group.
Guys, I know this is an awful moment, but bare with me for a minute, would ya?
All this situation is already tragic and dramatic. A young man lost his life. Someone lost a son, someone a best friend, someone lost their idol, someone lost her boyfriend.
It’s already very sad and we all feel really bad…
"Cory started his first Glee episode and ended his last Glee episode with Don’t Stop Believing"
While there are lots of performances that showcase Cory's talent and are certainly more recognizable, I picked this performance because of the messages it has. One being no matter how dark and bad things seem, we must never give up. Another being that as long as we stick together, anything is possible. Two things Cory Monteith always believed in and tried to show through Finn Hudson.
Cory didn't just play a part. He took each and every one of us on a journey. He made us laugh, cry, smile, grimace, seethe, cheer, and most importantly, feel. Whether he was the head of the football team or the underdog in glee, we always wanted Finn Hudson to win. Cory Monteith took the troubles he faced in his own life and used it when he played Finn. Every time we saw Finn struggle with his identity or try to choose between right and wrong, we saw a little bit of what Cory faced in his life...not everything but a little. We watched as Finn chased Rachel while Cory fell in love with Lea. We saw Finn form friendships on Glee and in the process, Cory formed lifelong, unbreakable, friendships with his castmates. We saw them fight-- sometimes they lost, sometimes they won. The thing is while Finn is a part of Cory, Cory was one of a kind. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends are going through right now. All I can say right now is that even though we mourn-- we should remember that the journey isn't over. Cory will always be in our hearts. Continue your collages, post your videos, and continue writing. In these things, we'll find that Cory's presence lives on. Thank you, Cory.
Write 10 facts about yourself and send it to your 10 favorite followers!
Okay, I've been trying to think of interesting facts about myself, lol. I didn't think it would be that hard but it kind of was. My name is Kate and...1. I have three parakeets named Smokey (my dad named him), Columbia (I named her), and Bad Horse (my brother named him). Bad Horse is my favorite. 2. I've read every single of the Series of Unfortunate Events books.
3. You already know this but, as much as I love Klaine, if Blaine wasn't in the picture, I would ship Kadam in a heartbeat. Adam's just such a sweet guy! (I believe a ton of Klainers just gave me the deadliest glare ever).
4. My favorite/ 'lucky' number is 4. I say 'lucky' like that because while it was my lucky number since I was 4 years old, my grandmother died on 4/4/04. I still play it whenever I gamble, lol. 5. I've been saying "Meoooow" a lot tonight. 6. I may be doing fantasy football this year. 7. I used to do ballet. I find this funny since I'm the clumsiest person I know. 8. Beneath my friendly exterior lies the meanest, most sarcastic, cattiness mean girl that ever lived (MEOOOW).9. Fortunately, beneath that mean, sarcastic, catty mean girl, lives a responsible mother-like character that keeps everyone in check. 10. I have the most amazing fanfiction.net wife ever :)
Yes, of course the dogs are barking outside... Of course, I go to yell at them to get back in the house.
Oh, hello my neighbors' hot grandson. Of course you're mowing their lawn today. Of course you actually saw me today and waved... And of course I'm still in my pajamas with my hair a mess. That my dears, is how you attract all the boys. Well done Kate, well done...
When I was younger, my brother and my cousins were all into Nsync/The Backstreet boys (I couldn't care less...I was too young to know what fan love was yet) and each of them had a favorite. As a joke, my mom and my aunts picked the least favorite of either band and said that was their favorite. Fastfoward to after my mom and I went to see the amazing Darren Criss and his amazing opening band/band. Darren is, naturally, my favorite (though I love them all!) but my mom has taken quite the liking to one Theo Katzman. She insists that she likes both equally, but she's only listened to the recordings we took of Darren's singing (two recordings) once...meanwhile, I've been frequently listening to Theo Katzman and 'Pop song' come from her laptop.
Just admit it, Mom...You love Theo more than Darren. It's okay.
You either love The Princess Bride or you’re wrong.
Agreed!
Originally, my favorite part of Venture Bros. is that there's an evil league, but now it's the fact that David Bowie is the leader of that evil league.
You know, in the wedding episode of Glee...Everyone got laid at Mr. Schue's wedding reception EXCEPT Mr. Schue.
Me last night when I remembered The New Normal was cancelled...Can we have a funeral for this show?
HEY. EVERYONE. GUESS WHAT???
