I really miss my dad and I'm trying to be better.
I never go on here anymore but I want to yell @ the empty void that is my tumblr. life is interesting rn. I graduated so that's cool! now I just have to deal with all of the shit I put aside so I could graduate...and wow there's so much to work on. my family shit is in turmoil, my job situation is in turmoil, my car situation, my family situation, no more relationship situation, huge crush on coworker that's basically married situation!!!! and honestly I wish I could just step away from it all and work on me. it all kind of sucks pretty bad rn but it really isn't that bad. and I know that it'll all be ok !!!!

The RCMP are setting up exclusion zones and closed roads to the public and media as officers get set to dismantle two camps on unceded Wet’suwet’en territory.
“During the police enforcement operation, temporary exclusion zones and road closures will be established for police and public safety reasons,” said the news release sent out Monday morning that confirmed the RCMP will enforce a court order requested by a pipeline company trying to build a pipeline through Wet’suwet’en territory.
“Those areas will be clearly marked and media/public are welcome to stand at the perimeter, but no one will be allowed to enter the exclusion zones. These zones will only be maintained as long as necessary.”

Then once the Cops storm the place, they declare an “exclusion zone” deploy a wifi and cell blockage, AND exclude media. All so no news of it gets out. You all need to be fucking outraged. We live in a police state, and the moment your life gets in the way of making money, you cease to matter.

On December 16, 2018, Wet’suwet’en Hereditary House Chiefs reaffirmed, once again, their stance on oil and gas export pipelines in Wet’suwet’en Yintah (traditional lands). This decision was validated in the feast hall where Wet’suwet’en decisions are enacted into law. While some Wet’suwet’en Indian Act Bands and corporations have signed on to the Coastal Gas Link Agreement, the Wet’suwet’en hereditary leadership–who have jurisdiction over 22,000 square kilometers of traditional territories–have not given their free, prior, and informed consent to any oil or gas company to build pipelines in their lands and waters. The Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs have not made any agreement with the Canadian or British Columbian governments to surrender or permit access to Wet’suwet’en lands for any pipeline corridors or construction activities. To enforce this decision, the house chiefs of all five Wet’suwet’en clans agreed by consensus to assert control of the Gitdumden Clan territory that borders to the west of Unistot’en lands. As such, a checkpoint is erected at the 44 km mark on the Morice Lake Forest Service Road and will follow a free, prior, and informed consent protocol whereby anyone seeking access to Gitdumden territory will be required to present themselves, respectfully, to spokespeople at the site. The checkpoint will remain in effect until further notice. We are seeking financial support to get supplies for the checkpoint and it’s supporters as well as any likely legal fees that will be incurred by the members. ** In order to ensure a smooth transition I have added Cody Merriman as a recipient to the funds. This is worse. Looking at these you can tell they have no significant monetary value. They were confiscated as a fear tactic. Nothing more.
This picture breaks my heart everytime it appears in my dash. It’s a fear tactic, alright but—
The first one in the left corner: It’s a first communion rosary, and it’s not cheap.
The black one in the first line: That’s a widow rosary and it’s old.
The white one in the second line: is a commemoration rosary. It has a miniature picture in the round part. I haven’t seen that since the 70′s.
In the third line, multicolor one: It’s an Anima mundi, I have only seen those in the hands of Rosary ministery’s old ladies. The oldest ones are from the 80′s after Juan Pablo II came to Mexico for the first time. It’s one of the old ones, I know because the crucifixes are different. The third one on the fourth line: Red and gold. The style is old, the metal is dark, that’s a 50′s rosary, probably a quinceañera one (or it’s maybe older, from the 40′s when the brides carried red roses with their offerings).
The fifth one on the fourth line: It’s a quinceañera rosary with Ignatius’s tear. The style is old and in my part of Mexico is orphan girls who used it. At least it was when I was young. The third one of the fifth line: the blue one with the anchor. That one I have only seen in Veracruz and it doesn’t look new. The fifth one on the fifth line: That’s a 90′s wedding rosary. Black and white patterns were popular on that date. The fourth one on the last line: That’s a first communion rosary from the 30′s. It’s delicate and most probably silver. The rest wrench my heart too, the humble everyday rosaries with wooden beads and knots. Those are cheap and bear the wear and tear of their user handling. But those I described are much more.
Those are mother’s rosaries.
Those are not just rosaries. Those are mementos, that’s the proof of their families stories. They are taking from them the only portable things they can carry to feel the connection to their families. It’s not a fear tactic. Call it like by its name. It’s dehumanization.
