Lea’s eyes narrowed, but she made no other movement towards her sister. Already, Ella couldn’t keep a lid on her temper. Typical.
"Nice to see you, too." Lea said flatly, folding her arms over her chest. Ella smelled like she had just been outside. Fire, ash, among… other things, and it all clung to the old jacket she wore.
"And August wanted us both here, so just deal with it for now.” She continued. It was painfully obvious that Ella wasn’t aware of what was going on. August had kept them both in the dark, she realized with another twinge of annoyance. There could be better ways to plan a so-called family reunion…
Lea could just imagine Ella in her mind’s eye. Jaw clenched, probably her hands, too. Leaning a bit forward with her shoulders squared. Her eye boring into her accusingly. Oh, how that would make Lea angry before the accident.
