It was 2013 and I had just finished my freshman year of college when I first met DUCKWRTH at the HELLAS hide out. The hide out was a large warehouse in the mission that bordered the Potrero area of San Francisco. This memorable place was where I discovered other artists of color, especially other black artists, who I could exchange ideas with, Duck himself & that warehouse have had a major impact on my creative journey. There he was , Duck was shoeless and shirtless in skin tight black jeans that were embellished with paint and rips when I first met him. I was always really appreciative of his endearing demeanor and inspired by his idiosyncratic soul. He was working on some beats and visuals and at that time I had no idea who he was. Fast forward to now, he’s evolved as an artist but stayed true to himself. So I would like to spread the wealth and bless y’all with a visual experience from our good friend @duckwrth. Enjoy this quixotic sing along video where Duck shares some San Francisco memories in the heart of his LA home.
