I was woken up by the sun peaking through the blinds. The sun was reflecting off the white sheets, making everything seem brighter. He was still sleeping peacefully. The golden rays made his body glow. He was truly captivating. I reached out to trace the outline of his face, being as gentle as I could so I wouldn’t wake him. He began to stir awake, so I left him be. It only took a few seconds after that for his tired blue eyes to be looking into my hazel ones. A lazy smile made its way onto his lips and it seemed to be contagious. He pulled his arms tighter around me, but also letting me turn around for comfort, and nuzzled his face into my hair whispering a raspy “good morning” into my ear.
