how the day turned out to be like that, no one knew. everything was going so well and woohyun couldn’t be any happier. seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces, listening to all the congratulations and speeches dedicated to him.., that was all he ever wanted from life. as scared as he was to be promoting alone without the six other guys, he did feel like he was on top of the world for that short while before things started to go wrong.
the bullet was digging into his flesh like it was nothing. the pain felt almost unbearable, making him fall to the ground. his limbs were numb, mind going blank. everything happening around him was a blur. why? – that was the only question in his mind. why would someone ruin it for him and for everyone else. all the fans and loved ones got a massive shock and there was nothing he could do about it. the person behind something as tragic as this, woohyun really didn’t understand why they would do that. it really was too much.
» ah, hyerim-ah.. « , the words were muffled out as soon as he felt the warmth coming from the person he treasured the most. he always told her not to hold him in her arms when he was upset - that he would be just fine sooner than she could even imagine. this time, however, her skin on his felt better than ever. he was shaking, body temperature going down. » don’t- you don’t have to worry.. « , the male used all his energy to form a small smile on his lips while breathing out the words, his eyes barely even open, » i will be okay… «
as much as he hated it with all his heart, for once he wanted to be there in her arms and never let go. but the sad reality kicked in, the paramedics carefully lifting him away from her; an oxygen mask placed on top of his mouth and nose. everything was fuzzy and all he wanted was to close his eyes and forget everything that just happened.
Eunji could only watch her husband getting pushed into the A&E as soon as the ambulance reached the hospital and she stumbled towards a row of chairs with the help of her manager. Her eyes then travelled to the sobbing coming from her mother-in-law and she reached out for the elderly’s hand, despite the blood on her hands, her mother-in-law squeezed her hand and Eunji could only let a small smile spread on her face.
“Umma, Woohyun will be fine, he told me so. Don’t cry now, he wouldn’t like to see that.” She speaks in the most calm voice as possible as she struggled with her own tears, trying to fight them back as she wanted to give her mother-in-law her greatest support. It’s hard, she knows, but she realized there’s nothing she could do. She couldn’t be in there, holding his hand as he struggled to live hurts her the most but she know he wouldn’t want her to cry, he wouldn’t want her to worry.
You’re so silly.. Eunji thought as she could imagine Woohyun telling her not to worry about her even in this situation. He is someone she treasure the most so it was almost impossible for her to stop worrying, especially this moment. She kept doing her prayers while the family stayed outside the A&E room awaiting for the doctor to be out; hopefully delivering good news to the anxious family.

Eyes immediately shot up upon hearing the doors opened, Eunji immediately stood up and walked towards the doctor when he asked who is Woohyun’s immediate family. “I’m his wife. H-how is Woohyun?” Eunji couldn’t help but to stutter a bit as she got scared suddenly -- what if all he have is bad news for her? But relief soon swept all over her when the doctor explained to her that Woohyun has passed the critical stage and the bullet was safely removed and that it missed his heart by a few inches. Thank god.
There she was, sitting by the side of the bed and holding his hand tightly while watching him able to breathe calmly. She was the last one that has left and she intended to stay since everyone has left. She wants to be there for him, just like she has always been. She wants to be the first one he sees when she wakes up, letting him know that she’s watching over him so he could rest peacefully. “Baby, you were right, you’re gonna be okay.”

“Don`t worry. Maybe we should go get some food without them.” He grinned and let out a soft chuckle at his statement. “I`ve been real good– Oh and congratulations on your comeback! The new song`s really great.”
“Oh-- we could!” A sheepish grin grows on her face as she nods eagerly before letting out a laugh. “Well, that’s nice to hear, that my old friend has been good~ and mhm, thank you so much! You like it?”

The idea of the sweet Korean delicacy made her mouth water, excited to eat it even in the hot summer. It was definitely delicious either way. With a grin, she gave the ahjumma a small bow, thanking her for her hard work. Turning to Eunji again, she listened with a gentle understanding. “I really miss my parents, too. I finished a drama recently and Heart Attack promotions… Then I’m going to KCON. I haven’t seen them in months,” she pouted a little. Her eyes, however lit up when she heard about Woohyun. “Any kids?” she said with a giggle, really out of the loop in Eunji’s life.
“You guys are going to KCON, that’s so cool though! But yeah, it’s also harder now that schedules are filling up every time you have.” Letting out a sigh, she went ahead to take a bite of the hotteok that she took over from the ahjumma. “Ah-- kids? Not yet, it’s not the right time... though we want them pretty badly-- heh.”
Almost on command the taller female gave a slight and nodded.She did feel better.”If you let go I will never buy you food again.”
“That’s kinda mean-- but be rest assured, you’ll be buying me food again! A lot!” Eunji let out a hearty laugh while keeping her hold on the other’s hand tight as she sits down, pulling the safety bar down onto the both of them. “You ready, Yura!?”

Our lives, really. ` she shoots her an empathetic grin, bobbing her head in slight nods due to the understanding of what she’s going through; As much as the restrictions go, I’m glad that our companies aren’t that bad, y’know? I’ve heard of worse around.
But we wanted to lead this life-- [’ laughs. ] And yeah, it’s not that bad. Though our managers could be really mean when it comes to strict diet -- the only time where we could eat well is the food support by fans. [’ let out a soft sigh while flipping the menu open. ] But! Since we’re out having good food, let’s not think about the heartless people. What flavor do you like, unnie?

it was a big day for woohyun. his solo debut finally happened after years of hard work and keeping his hopes up to do the same infinite’s leader got to do a few times; promote as a soloist with his very own album with his own songs. to woohyun, it definitely was his biggest dream and to think that it finally happened made him the happiest person on earth. and of course, like always, arranging a fanmeet was a part of it all.
» we will be doing the hi-touch first and later on, you will be getting your signed albums. while waiting in the line, please keep yourself hydrated and share your snacks with everyone, got it? give a little love to the people around you because if something happens, you’d make me really worried! «
woohyun had an endless amount of love for his fans like most people knew. doing something like the hi-touch event was like amazing in his opinion. being so up close to his beloved fans and hearing their encouraging words made him feel so much better about not just himself, but the whole album release and his chance to build up his solo career - no matter how much he loved infinite and the six guys who were always there to stand by his side. the day seemed to be perfect. a little too perfect, even. his family was there along with his wife, apink’s eunji, who was also one of his biggest pillars of support along with others. she was his biggest fan and it meant the world to him.

and just like that, everything went downhill. no one knew who the voice belonged to, but the words were filled with fear. it was loud, followed by a lot of screaming. of course, the security working at the venue needed to make a move. they couldn’t just stand there and let something horrible happen - but that’s exactly what happened. they were too slow; there was nothing they could’ve done to stop what just happened. it was like a scene from a nightmare, a really bad one.
screaming. running around – and bang.

Knowing how much of a big day it was for her husband, Eunji quiet stood behind the curtains by the side of the stage as she did not want to ruin the moment that Woohyun was being immense in. She watched over him carefully, while at the same time trying to hide from the gaze of possible fans. Some of them were nice, smiling back at her and gave her a light wave but some rolled their eyes at the idol as soon as they noticed her being there. But she didn’t mind, she learnt how to ignore the attitude that the fans give after such a long period while dating Woohyun.
Everything else was proceeding smoothly before a sound of horrific bang followed by screaming of the girls filled the venue and there he was, laying on the floor while a hand was being pressed against his chest. Eunji rushed forward with all the energy she had from the shock and knelt down next to her beloved husband, she didn’t know what to do at that very moment as she wasn’t able to register what happened but instinctively, she held him in her arms while her eyes were fixed on the blood staining his shirt.
“Woohyun-ah..”
Her voice quivered while keeping arms around him tight, a palm placed above his. Nothing could be registered in her mind, she couldn’t remember being pulled away from him where she would board the ambulance alongside him. All she could remember was his lovely smile from the start of his solo fanmeet and now, the blood-stained hand that she was holding onto. She remembers praying quietly while watery eyes fixed on his features.
“Baby, don’t leave me...”
Yura hesitated looking back up at the huge rife in front of them.She gulped and shook her head.”Never mind.Let’s just get this over and done with.”
Looking at her expression, Eunji reaches out to take the other’s hand in hers and gives her hand an assuring squeeze. “Don’t worry, I’ll hold your hand tight! You’ll be fine!”

of course i did, i always miss you when you’re not with me~ (´he nods in the most assuring way possible, the wide smile sticking in his features - his arms slowly sliding around her as well.) i was, there’s still a lot of leftovers too, you can have some if you want! that’s all i was up to anyway, eating the food.
Aw love.. and I missed you too. [’ frowns faintly while raising both hands to cup his cheeks gently and tiptoes just to nuzzle nose against his. ] Aigo, giving me the leftovers~ but that’s okay, I’m not that hungry, we had food from fans too~! Shall we go walk around? I’m too full to sit down.

Ah, lucky~ Make most of the opportunity, but don’t get caught, alright? You know how reporters are these days.. /sighs then grins and reaches to pinch the other’s cheek lightly but pauses, eyes widening again when she takes out her phone/ No! /she waves her hands almost frantically as she exclaims/ No, don’t look for it! /uses her hands to block and cover the screen of the younger’s gadget, whining in a childish and somewhat exaggerated manner/ It was years ago and I still had all these baby fats in my face!
But anyway, we have nothing much to hide since a month ago we were all over the news due to our marriage-- but we’re still careful. There’s still some reporters hanging out around where we live. [’ let out a sigh as she got reminded of the previous incident where they bumped into a reporter. ] This once we saw one at the mart while doing some grocery shopping and it was really awkward because apparently this reporter isn’t good in camouflaging himself-- and not to be rude, we had to greet him before quickly finishing our shopping. [’ tries to wiggle away from the other’s hands as she laughs. ] Unnie, you were cute last time! You’ve got nothing to hide!
