Does anybody have some sso fics to recommend? (preferably something that expands on the lore)
Okay so you wanted fics that expand the lore and while I can’t promise these do that I thoroughly enjoy them !!!
I should mention that a lot of sso fic was written on tumblr (at least it was when I was active on it smh) but it’s been so long I’ve forgotten most of them or I wouldn’t even know where to find them. I know like literally all of my fic got lost when I did a blog cleaning thing too but oh well !
Also, the vast majority of complete multi-chap fics are on wattpad. It is what it is.
Fics that take sso characters and tell new stories:

* An alternative origin story for darko. It’s a very cute read—it’s about summer camps and horse riding and turning evil at the end.

* What if Anne turned evil after pandoria? A fic that promises to deliver a great story and I also haven’t read this one either I’m sorry okay. It looks good though and I like the author’s other works, so would recommend!
* Simping for Sabine by solace_saphlyos
* Sabine is hot and fic about Sabine is even hotter. That didn’t come out right. Shenanigans about y/n and her crush on Sabine while they’re still on opposite sides of a war. With a heavy side of comedy !!
Fics that add character to sso characters:

* When I say this fic has haunted me for 5 years I am not kidding this is one of the best fics in sso fanfic okay. It takes a funny little joke of Justin and lasagna and gives it DEPTH and LORE and the ending line still sticks with me 5. Years. Later. Go read this it deserves it.
* Calanthe... is sad by Evergraythewriter
* horse w dead mom angst what else do you want ! A well-written one shot over Elizabeth’s last horse that deserves more attention man .

* her writing (and especially her art) focus on Anne and her recovery and feelings post-pandoria, but also just who she was as a person pre pandoria
* She’s got Anne’s diary coming out soon, which is v promising, but she’s got fics all over her tumblr
* Her art can also be just as rich as a fic by itself, telling short stories concisely and beautifully
* Burgie
* You can’t talk about sso fics without mentioning Burgie, and that’s for a reason: she’s written so much it’s immense. Wanna read a fic about this vague character mentioned once or twice? I guarantee you she’s got it. Her fics are the sso equivalent of a summer beach read and perfectly scratch the itch for when you want to sit and Read

* Also has written an amazing amount of fics, all deliciously slathered in lore
* Focuses mainly on her player character, Rebecca, and as you grow to love her you’ll never tire of fics to read

* A short fic about Connie buying Rebecca (player character) a satin dress and being flustered by it. I read this years ago and still think of it whenever I see satin

* pandoric scars and angst. What more could you want ?? I originally clicked on this bc of the glow stick comment but found a well written fic with emotions and I’m so happy I did
