This is our own way of protesting designer dogs, he deserves to be normal and happy

i would rather help 100000 fakers than make life harder for a single disabled person

if making sure that disabled people don’t have to jump through one hundred million hoops in order to receive accommodations means that people start faking disabilities to get those same accommodations, then i think that’s fine. that does not hurt anyone.

(Plus maybe we shouldn't be limiting those accommodations to only the disabled where possible but I suspect a lot of ableds aren't ready for that conversation)

Right like you shouldn't need to be legally disabled to get help in certain areas. Like why should you be physically unable to do something and have paperwork to prove you can't to get help when you need it, like you shouldn't need to literally be unable to use your legs without support to use a cane- like,, if a cane helps you, use a cane. We should be aiming to make life good and enjoyable for everyone, we already have escalators and elevators that are public use, that is an accessibility tool that abled people may not necessarily *need* but it helps a lot, it's useful, it reduces discomfort

So I ended up with free time at the end of my first class today, so I was like "do yall wanna see a vintage meme?" and turned on "what does the fox say". Expected like. A laugh from the kids, or even just a "wtf is this mx?" which is. A reasonable reaction to What Does The Fox Say.

But instead of a reasonable reaction. all of my students watched the first 60 seconds with jaws agape. And then this one kids turns to me like the fucking eye of Sauron and literally goes:
