Transition isn't easy, neither is it cheap.

For the past 11 years, I have been living as male, but living the way that I have on a daily basis is an uncomfortable, and quite often painful process. Binding for an extended period of time has given me a whole host of problems, and it has been my dream to get the chest surgery that would alleviate over a decade of pain and discomfort, and permit me to comfortably live my life the way I have for ages now. Understandably, such a surgery is not cheap. The local surgeon charges over $9000 for the procedure, none of which is covered by insurance. In fact, there are precious few surgeons in the country that take insurance for this procedure, and none of them take the state insurance that I am on currently. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated. None of the money given will go to anything other than the surgery costs itself.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THIS ARTICLE

No but guys this is actually really important. If my mom didn’t know these things my dad could very well be dead. He had a heart attack in his 30’s and wrote it off as an anxiety attack, which he has often enough. Fortunately my mom knew better and drug him to the hospital.

Very important for people with eating disorders who are prone to both anxiety and heart attacks. 

Considering I had a panic attack yesterday I need this. Maybe it’ll help someone else too
