“And what is that dear, Doctor? Is it the ability to follow your intuition?”
He had a strange feeling about this man, something about him seeming off compared to other human bags of bones and flesh. Hastur straightened himself up, golden eye’s looking into the mans. His stare was not one a human would hold, it was endless, reaching into his insides and beyond.He knew the doctor was…peculiar.
He could feel the other being’s eyes staring well beyond his own, as if it were looking into his very soul…in Lore’s experience, the only thing to do when something stared into your soul was to stare right back at it. Even a shallow stare could tell him that the ‘thing’ in front of him was something much more than human - and he knew it would not be wise to look too deeply.
“Intuition, mysticism, the oppression by cruel powers…all things I like to think that I know in spades.”
“I first became aware of their struggles through a news article detailing a motion picture that had opted to change its location from Tibet to Kathmandu - to avoid losing box office revenue from China,” he surmised, “Amazing how relatively minor works of fiction can bring about such enlightenment, no?“
Those odd golden eyes tore themselves away from his once he was ready, and only once he was ready. he smiled seemingly gentle and nodded to the mans words.
“A news article brought you enlightenment? That seems almost Fickle.” he tilted his head ever so slightly, looking at the man. Oh he must have noticed what it was about him that was simply...
Not human.
“But I understand. One see’s something new, or different, and one wishes to know more about it. It is only natural I suppose. Is that what occurred to you?”

“Coincidence and fate figure largely in our lives.”
There was a feeling that ate at his chest, twisting his hearts into knots. The Arcane horror Seemed to tilt his head at the phrase, that seemingly came from no where. Fate, and Coincidence went hand in hand with one another and humans regarded them as exactly the same.
Both of them were chained to the fabric of the human soul, contorting them in ways that were simply out of their grasp, influencing them to press forward in their short lives, and what could humans do besides move with the flow of things? He saw them as weak, powerless things, compared to beings like him.
“oh. How right you are Aurelie.” He folded an arm across his chest, resting an below on it, his hand to his chin curiously.
It broke his heart–just a bit. perhaps that was what that feeling was. Perhaps her own life was determined by Fate and Coincidence…but perhaps he had a say in that.
But perhaps not.
“And what do you say about fate?..Your fate.”
Perhaps it was Fate or Coincidence that had led him to her.

“Oh. You again?” He sighs and seems to shake his head, his expression very dull and unnerved, but his tone suggests otherwise.
“And what have I done to have you grace me with your presence, Crawling one?”
“ICE CREAM!” He screams.
Nyarly hands Hastur a pint of what appears to be chocolate ice cream but who knows.
He lowers his brows, showing his teeth as he parts his lips with uncertainty. The crawling one was a strange thing–with strange tendencies. He wondered if with such power came a certain loss of sanity…
Still he would humour the elder god.
“Thank you, I suppose.” he takes the cold container into his hands looking at it questionably. “I’ve never had icecream before.” he sniffed it a bit curiously. It was sweet smelling so it couldn’t be all that bad.
With curious look he crossed his legs and put an arm around the other god’s shoulder.
“Sooo…how are you doing this eon?” He grins stupidly.
“oh. You know.” The god rolls his eyes and stares off with a disinterested gaze. “Worshippers are becoming quiet disappointing these days, and the world seems on a delightful brink of self destruction once again.” though for gods like them, human lives were snuffed out in a matter of moments.
“And how are you?. aside from..indulging in strange desserts?” he twirled the spoon in his fingers and tried a bit of the icecream.

—— the command was uncomfortable to jonny. he hadn’t really even meant to say it in the first place. it just sort of…came out. it was odd, he barely knew the guy but it was so easy for him to spill his guts. that was, until he was faced with what he said. the silence that followed had jonny fidgeting and he took another long drink from his glass before he spoke up again. “i said sometimes i don’t think i ever really recovered from overdosing. i don’t feel like the same person before…before all of that. i feel tainted. like there’s tar in my veins that can’t ever be scrubbed clean. i know that’s impossible but it’s like it changed my chemistry or something, you know?”
The bar around them was a void of muffled noise as Hastur focused all of his waking attention on the human before him. He sat calmly, his hands folded neatly in his lap, his drink was untouched. This human before him was fascinating, broken and stitched back together by his own willpower--and feeling the long effects of it.
He needed to know more.
“You’re right. You will never be the same person.” He confirmed leaning forward with interest, his voice was gentle in spite of his fiery enthusiasm.
“You cannot changed what happened--or the foolish mistakes you’ve made. That uncomfortable feeling is a reminder of that… But now you can only move forward. You can be better.” He finally reached for his drink, golden eyes fixating on the young mans The god quieted his enthusiasm and given the other a moment to speak.
I noticed hastur didn’t have a looks page so i added one really quickly.
