Imagine your F/O coming up behind you and wrapping their arms around you. They nuzzle and nibble at the back of your neck teasingly, stroking their hands over your chest and stomach.

Imagine snuggling on the couch with your F/O. They insist on you laying on top of them while you snuggle, wholly convinced that's the only way you'll both be comfy.

Are they significantly taller than you? To the point where you have to use their chest as a pillow... Their arms enveloping you completely, pinning you snuggly against them. One hand gently tangling in your hair as they rub your back slowly, almost lulling you to sleep. Even if the only other thing they can do is kiss the top of your head periodically/sporadically.

Or are they only slightly taller than you? Where you can comfortably rest your head/chin on their shoulder as you snuggle. Their arms comfortably tight around your waist as you trade kisses to the neck and face. Every so often going after your lips at the risk of getting a little spicy.

Maybe you're the tall one but boy are they stubborn about holding you in their lap. Arms wrapped tightly around you as you try to balance over them and not squish them... but they are tough little buggers and love having your chest so close to their face. Easier for them to trail soft kisses as far up your neck as they reach.

No matter what, your F/O just wants to make sure you're comfy. They adore snuggling with you every chance they get. Doesn't matter what else is going on, they just want to be close to you...

Imagine your f/o lending you their sweater, coat, rings, or something they wear often as a way of showing their closeness and affection for you. It's something they may not normally do with just anyone, so gifting this to you is something personal, it signifies something deeper to them.

Imagine your f/o falling asleep in your arms and when they wake up, they refuse to get up because they’re too comfortable.

They squint their eyes at you slightly, measuring the small distance between the two of you.. was this an invitation?

Without another moment to hesitate, they smile and put their hand at the back of your head. As their lips brush against yours, you hear them mutter, "You should have just told me.."

Imagine feeling their comforting embrace instantly wrap around you. Their strong grip rooting you in place with the silent promise that they’ll never let go. Hearing your f/o’s gentle murmurs of comfort, their hands tenderly massaging your form. Imagine resting your head against their chest, feeling it rise and fall beneath you. The sensation is comforting, something that calms you. Your sobs slowly being reduced to sniffles as they cradle you in their arms.

Breathe. Just breathe. They’ve got you.

Imagine taking a bath or shower with your f/o.

Imagine running your soapy hands through their hair, gently massaging the shampoo into their scalp. Hearing your f/o hum or sigh contently, eyes closed and a smile on their face.

And them do the same for you, gently scrubbing the day’s worries from your skin, rubbing away every tension. Just feeling your f/o’s presence right next to you, as well as the droplets rolling down your spines.

Maybe this is a moment where you can finally unwind. Where you can chat and fill each other in on how your days went. Or, maybe you both stay in silence. Both finding it comfortable without the urge to speak.

Just relax, and take care of one another.

I want to give my f/o or comfort character a kiss on on their forehead so I can see their smile grow. I want to intertwine my fingers within theirs so I can give them that pure gesture of closeness, gently squeezing their hand. I want to hold them close so they can feel the kindness of my embrace. I want to love them in the most beautiful ways so they can experience what it is like to receive genuine love in a form that is healthy and secure.

to just lie in bed with your f/o...

the both of you splayed out among the sheets and blankets, hands linked as you talk about yourselves, your days, the future... anything at all. it comes to you so easily with them.

turning to look into their eyes to see the most loving gaze reflected back at you... their soft, tender smile as they sidle closer to you in bed. pulling their hand away from yours only to wrap their arms around you, blankets and pillows and them surrounding you in a comforting shell.

cuddling as the both of you wind down for bed, your conversation becoming peppered with yawns. the giggling and teasing over who's sleepier.

the moment they catch your eyes fluttering as tiredness overtakes you, their adoration written all over their face. a hand reaching up to cup your cheek, eith their thumb rubbing soothing circles that lull you deeper into sleep. try as you may, the earlier banter melts into hushed whispers and low hums of comfort as your beloved grows sleepier and sleepier with you.

as the two of you drift off to sleep together, the last thing you register is the safety and comfort of their arms wrapped around you, the rise and fall of their chest steadying you.

Imagine your f/o gently running their hand through your hair while looking into your eyes, then holding the back of your head and leaning in to kiss your forehead.
