Our 2 Liter of Orange Crush with dinner was awesome.

My daughter freaked out for 10 min then proceeded to tell me that Mikey was now her only favorite turtle.

I’m sorry Donnie seems that my girl can be bought. (I still luv you though) ^_^*

MUST. FIND. THE BLUE CRUSH… MY BLUE CRUSH… LEONARDO… PLEASE.

I look everytime but have yet to see a Leo in can or 2 liter. I feel your pain.

I had a dream I saw a tumblr prompt for an rp with a Triceriton from tmnt 2k3 and I was so excited I had to respond. I got shot down cause I he said I wasn't a compatable character. I was so sad. I started to type a message arguing I had skills and could switch chars when I woke up. What does this say about me?

As heart-wrenching as the fic. Your art has really come a long way in the depicting the emotional state of your characters. Doubly talented. Which came first?

Oh thank you so much! Uhm, what came first? The picture or the fic??

I guess...

Thanks for the insight about your process. I find it interesting how we try to translate the things that go on in our heads in a way so that others will understand our vision. Me I'm still waiting for the brain to video transfer machine. ;D Guess till then I'll have to be content to bask in the feels of others! Thank you for sharing your talent. We all appreciate it. ^_^*

All other factors aside, did you find Tiger Claw attractive?

Avatar

I will conceded that he was a formidable opponent, and I believe that he had respect for me both as a warrior and as a fellow feline, if I remember his comments correctly.

But he was trying to hurt my babies. At the time, I was far more concerned with how his face would look after I had finished ripping it off with my bare claws.

I guess some factors just can't be put aside. As a momma I can respect that. ^_^*

Good parenting...

So we have finished dinner and move to my bedroom for a family night of turtle viewing.

My hubby starts singing the T.G.I.F. theme song. My daughter simply turns to him with wide innocent eyes and says

"T.C.R.I."

she has no clue why we are cracking up, she cannot fathom what she has said that is so funny. She then proceeds to gets flustered and annoyed with us, all while wearing Hello Kitty hoodie pajamas, ears and all.

"I don't GET it!!"

The child has been completely corrupted and I could not be more proud.

I just got a job working for a TV News station.

Does this mean that I am one step closer to meeting turtles?

Life is good.

What 3 changes would you have made to the 2k3 "Fast Forward" story arc?

Avatar

I’m so stoked you asked me this, dear sweet momma!!!

I have mixed feelings about Fast Forward, probably because it had some potential. The turtles going into the future wasn’t a new thing, and for the most part, despite the changes, I enjoyed it for what it was. I know my little cousins REALLY love FF. They love watching the DVDs whenever they come over. So maybe that’s why it’s a little special for me. :)1. Replace Cody Jones with Shadow Jones.(I know I’m not the only one who thought Cody Jones was so annoying.)Also, you can never have too many female characters. Common.I was always disappointed that they never took the opportunity to add Shadow into the 2k3 series in one form or another! It would’ve been extremely fun, especially to see the Turtles meet Shadow in the future as a young teen. I know it wouldn’t have been faithful to the comics, because the turtles have been there since she was a baby, but I don’t think it would’ve hindered their special relationship with Shadow Jones.I would’ve LOVED to have seen something like this.Seriously, You can’t tell me Shadow wouldn’t have filled in the vigilante/company owner shoes, but also learning martial arts, while developing special relationships with each of her “uncles”!2. Less Villains. There was too many villains for just one season alone, I believe they originally planed on making two seasons for FF, but obviously it didn’t work out. It fell into the ‘villain of the week’ syndrome, sadly enough.I would’ve just scratched out most of the villains, stuck with just a few, maybe the Dark Turtles, Uncle Darius, and Sh’Okanabo + Viral. Deal with their stories and tie them in together into a tight plot.Heck! I would’ve even slapped the wedding arc in the last few episodes for FF, so the turtles could return to the present towards the end of the season. Because the wedding arc wasn’t a bad idea to end the series on. (Instead of having to go through all that BTTS Toy gimmicky nonesense.)The other thing that made this season suffer badly is one of the main reasons why most people don’t like FF. They basically dumped all the character development the turtles had from the last 5 seasons, and were back from where they started. I completely understand why they just randomly went on a lighter tone and brighter colors, because they were losing their demographic, but It would’ve benefited them if they had kept all that hard work in the character development. 3.Possible comic series?Okay okay! Now hear me out before you say “OBJECTION!”Season 5 itself wasn’t as great compared to the last 4 seasons, and I think I could speak for most fans who love 2k3, when I say that it would’ve fine if it ended there. A lot of fans would’ve been satisfied with that.(I just like to pretend the BTTS didn’t happen. I could deal with FF, but BTTS is another story.)But FF could’ve possibly served as a neat mini comic series, possibly aimed for younger readers especially. I don’t necessarily dislike all those villains from that season, but with all those characters, it was too much for one season! It would’ve been great to see this through a comic series, giving each character a chance and maybe even have something more to work with if they have given enough issues. And I’m never opposed to having a comic series aimed for kids. There’s never enough comics aimed for kids. Plus, I know so many adults who enjoy kids comics. ;)(Can you tell I thought a lot about this over the years??)

I agree with a lot of the points you brought up. I don’t have the comicbook background to draw upon so I will have to bow to your expertise on that front.

1. Serling The whole devoted robot butler thing could have been done sooo much better. He just grated on me so much that it distracted from the enjoyment of the show. Yes he did have one good moment of emotional payoff but it didn’t make up for the rest of his insesant chatter. 2. Exploration of Society Raph had it right on this front. They finally had the opportunity to enjoy society and in my opinion it was wasted. I think

I didn’t really have too much of a problem with Serling, I guess mainly because seeing such a dull, serious character deal with the Turtles shenanigans cracks me up! (Probably because Serling would react the same way like my Dad would if he met the turtles! Ha!) But I could’ve done without him too, Especially in BTTS. That was ridiculously unnecessary.  Haha! I’m definitely not a comic expert, but that’s one of the subjects I completely forgot to add in about making FF a mini comic series, because there could have been a chance to really dwell on that aspect of the turtles, being accepted in society. I’m glad you brought that up! I think by that point of the series, 4kids was afraid to touch on any serious subjects again in order to keep the younger demographic watching. I HIGHLY recommend finding the "Future Tense" graphic novel that has the collected issues from the Archie Series. It’s my favorite version of the future turtles, by far. :)

Thanks for the recomendation. I can definately tell that the comics have more flavor too them. Someday I'll get around to reading them. Our family just finished with the wedding episode so our adventure into 2k3 is done. Now I have the leasure to go back and pick out my favorites. I think that for FF it would have to be "DNA is Thicker than Water" I was kinda sad we didn't see the dark clones after that but at least it was a good episode to end on. You got me into 2k3 and its been a fun ride. Thanks from the whole family ^_^*

You said: Irma and pizza delivery boy… no anchovies. (in case the note didn't count. crack-ship ahoy)

Avatar

“…’kay, so that’s one pepperoni pizza, one with anchovy, and—.”

Irma smirks, and lies through her perfect teeth. “I didn’t ask for anchovies.”

The pizza guy blinks. “I—what? But you said on the phone—”

“I said no anchovies.”

“But— oh man, Antonio’s gonna kill me!”

She raises a sculpted eyebrow over the frame of her glasses. “I’m sure he’ll be fine. You got fifteen minutes.” she says, smiles, and keeps smiling when the pizza kid turns around and bends back over his bike.

Yes. This is so the attitude I see coming from the new Irma. ^_^*
