♕ on the → road : { princesskougyoku }

{ ✧ } - “You know smoking’s not good for you, right?”

Slender fingers twitch around the strap of her bag as she settles down beside him, her posture tense, rigid as she takes a moment to consider her choice. It had started out as a joke - silly childish banter that occurs between two despondent teenagers … but soon it developed into a dream, and a dream into plans, and plans into actions, and actions into where they sat now. She huffed a sigh.

Would she be missed?

Ultimately, that was the question that kept her on the border of leaving and stayed. It was pathetic, she knew as much, but she desired no more than to be loved. A lowly child such as herself, no wonder she was overlooked by those of her family. She was already weakest in line when it came to succession of Kou’s affluent companies, her chances of inheriting the family business almost diminished by the harlot blood that ran within her.

Kougyoku supposed that was enough of an answer, a stray hand wandering towards her roseate tresses as she directs her attention back to her companion. She was unsure of his feelings of her and she of him. Were they friends? Or nothing more than convenience to the other?

"I parked out back," she murmured, pushing such thoughts away from her mind. It was an advantage, per se, to be the daughter of a wealthy company. To say the least, the cruiser and their jumpstart cash fund wouldn’t be noticed.

                  "Heh. If I got a coin for every time someone told me that shit then I would be rich and not in this fucking mess."

           ❛  ♚ 》 A small scoff was followed by his response to her scolding him for smoking. Again. She lectured him so frequently that he was surprised she wasn't sick of it herself. Perhaps she thought she was being a good friend by trying to get him to quit or some shit like that. Shifting his gaze at her, he noticed her rigid posture and the hesitant look in her eyes. He sighed before taking another drag. "You don't have to go through with this you know. You can leave right now and pretend this never happened." It would become troublesome for the both of them if she ended up regretting it and wanted to go back home.

                    The reason why Cassim didn't have any qualms with his decision was because there was no one left to miss him. His sister was gone and the only person waiting home was his disgusting alcoholic father. He knew packing his bags and moving somewhere far away would end up becoming the best decision he ever made in his life; because his way, he would be free from his dad and he would be able to live the life he wanted. A small smirk appeared on his face when he noticed her looking at him. "Am I that handsome?"

                    "No one followed you right?" The heavy smoker fell silent for a few minutes. To say he didn't want her as a companion for his own benefit would be a lie. She had money and a vehicle he could use to travel around, but it would end up becoming a pain in the ass if she suddenly said 'I want to go home' someday. "You really sure about this princess? There's no turning back if you do this."
