"Sayaka, try to calm down." Mikasa pulled the newly acquired grief seed from her pocket and held it in her hand. "Give me your soul gem. You’ll feel better in a moment." Even though her own soul gem was beginning to look a bit dark, Sayaka was in need of replenishing.
"Sayaka, stop worrying about me. Each witch we fight is harder than the last. I’m strong enough even with half of my energy left. You’ll need me. I’m not letting you fight this by yourself."
Mikasa would be a fool to deny the pain she felt. The wounds on her arms had not yet healed, and she knew that her clouded gem was to blame.
"I’m a fighter, Sayaka…it’s what I do."
"You can't say some bullshit thing like that to try and excuse not taking care of yourself!"
"...Whatever. I know I can't stop you from coming with me even if I tried. Just... don't you dare think about doing anything stupid and use up too much magic, okay?

"I see… but I still want to at least help. Maybe once everyone gathers to where they need to be-"
Warle bumped into one of the crowd members. She looked forward and took a few steps back. The crowd had stopped. She hadn’t been paying too much attention to where everyone was going until now. The crowd had gathered around in a circle. A ritual seemed to be in progress…
"Already!? If you are going to disrupt them, you need to do it quickly!"
{ She began to internally panic, not having noticed the group had already began to put the ritual into action.
- With a quick glance at the other, she tapped her soul gem, transforming so that the witch who had to be nearby could sense the magical energy. }
"Don't worry. I won't let this go on."
{ The few standing in the very middle of the circle seemed to be holding two extremely dangerous bottles of chemical, mixing them together in a bucket that one was holding.
- Sayaka charged, taking hold of the bucket and throwing it as far from the group as possible so they couldn't get sick from the fumes. }

Kirika, impatient as ever, charged toward Homura with her claws drawn without a word of warning. But as her swing was about to reach, Homura had vanished.
"What the hell…?"
A gunshot rang out and passed directly by Kirika’s head, slowing to a nearly visible rate as it came into her view, with Homura now between the two girls who were threatening her. The interaction of two forms of slowing magic would make this rather complicated, the citrine-eyed girl suddenly realized as she turned to see the shooter’s new location.
"That did not need to miss, Kure-san." Homura pointed her pistol then at Sayaka. "I will tell you once again: one death should be enough. Because of that death we can live in peace, albeit uneasily, from here out, if you’ll both calm your desire for bloodshed."
{ She was already going to resort to using that type of magic, it seemed. A slow yet sure idea began to form in the swordswoman's head, and she gave a quick glance to Kirika.
- It seemed that Homura's time magic needed a bit of a period to cooldown, so she wouldn't be able to use it again right away, giving Sayaka the only opportunity she'd probably have.
She was near certain that Akemi wouldn't miss next time. }
{ Swooshing her cape up to cover her soul gem so that Homura couldn't land a fatal shot, she charged at the other, sword in hand, betting that Homura would try to block it with her shield.
- The plan was to land a hit on the shield so she couldn't manipulate time again. }

"People on my world call this flower Firebloom. They say it only grows where there’s a lot of heat, like in deserts and near volcanoes…"
