frankieromustdie: #InjuryReportMilestones! Ok so today is pretty much a month since falling off a ladder and breaking my wrist in 10 places, 33 days to be exact. And after a month of basically dressing like a toddler, today i was actually able to put on jeans and a belt! Very exciting! Next week i get my pin out (thank christ) and i would like to figure out how to put on a watch. 🤷‍♀️ It truly is the little things.Little by little i have been trying to test my limits, figuring out how to do things with my left hand, picking up things of different weight with my right, and playing a little bit of music here and there when i feel up to it.I finally feel like enough of a badass to use this machine gun ammunition guitar strap my cousin @azarjatattoo gave me 15 years ago. here it is strapped to my @officialjacksonguitars Dinky, loaded with @ernieball strings and plugged into my @yamaha_guitars THR II.Fun Fact: I use pretty much all @officialjacksonguitars on my heavier projects ever since @gerardway sent me some of his experimental recordings with them. so badass. they really are incredible instruments. thanks @mschulz83 & @mike_temp !!In other news, my scars are healing up nicely even though they’re just gonna get cut up again when they take the plate out in a few months, but still i’m pretty psyched with the healing process. It’s crazy how much articulation our hands are capable of AND how much trauma our bodies can endure and bounce back from. For how much of a mess the human race is, we really are pretty damn miraculous.Ok well that’s about all i have for now. frankieromustdie: when i entered high school at the age of 13 i had one image hanging up in my locker. some of my friends had posters of scantily clad celebrities, photos of their girlfriend or boyfriend at the time, or their daily/weekly schedules with funny puffy stickers of animals. I had this one photo of Kurt Cobain playing his vandalism strat at Pukkelpop fest ripped from a guitar magazine and tapped crookedly to my door. I would look at this image everyday as I grabbed my books for the next class that wouldn’t help prepare me for the ONE thing i knew i needed to do with my life. that strat, the sweater, those songs… it all spoke to me, it changed me. it became the only text i needed. i studied it. today i received a message from my friend Kevin @electricalguitarcompany he built this for me. My recovery starts today. Thank you Kevin & @electricalguitarcompany Thank you @fender Thank you Kurt. Thank you rock and roll. 🙏KTF 🖤xofrnk

New @turnstileluvconnection & @shanandtheclams providing the perfect soundtrack to my hand therapy. Manipulating tiny pegs with each finger and holding two at a time.
