Damn anon? We didn’t mean at all to be rude and reading it over we don’t feel our response was anything other than an honest explanation of why we had no intention to do it? We really did receive a phenomenal amount of hate last year and we were attempting to explain that we felt doing it again would be nothing but a repeat performance of that we didn’t want to go through. That was poorly explained yes but I still don’t feel like it was rudely explained.

We’ve kinda been busy with finishing uni, if you hadn’t noticed this blog is all but abandoned, and I have a full time job now and gif making was a thing I did so Jess can’t do it instead.
Not to mention when we did it last year there we got a ridiculous amount of hate about the results, no matter how many times we said the results and nominees were in no way determined by us.
Basically the short answer anon is no we aren’t doing it this year.

You know what, this assignment actually ended up being pretty fun, and I came out of it with a blog on female sport that I’m actually quite proud of so we’ll chalk this up as a win.
If only I’d finished it before 5am of the morning it was due

How do people honestly properly blog though? Like I’m sitting here trying to write blogs about Sports / Women in Sports for an assignment and struggling like hell.

And how is Venus more marketable than Serena in ANY country? That comment alone tells me that the ‘research’ is either a) really old or b) bogus.
I mean according to this report Serena is more marketable in the US and Venus is more marketable here but like it also tried to tell me the sport Australian women were most interested in watching was Rugby League which I find hard to believe so I’m pretty sure they were just pulling numbers out their ass.
Otherwise get a sampling of articles regarding the two of them and compare how many times he/she are mentioned in each others articles. Include a reference to their playing stats to show her merit to the team.

Nothing against Venus Williams but I refuse to believe she’s the most marketable sportswoman in Australia. Like ? Stephanie Rice? Sally Pearson? Elyse Perry? Sam Stouser? Lauren Jackson? Liesel Jones? Torah Bright? Layne Beachley? Anna Mears? None of these people exist?
