btw rebeca comes from such an improbable backstory. a family of 7 siblings and a single mother who worked as a cleaner, started training gymnastics bc of a social project promoted by her hometown’s city hall, used to walk 2 hours by foot as a little kid with her brother to get to her first training center, moved away from her family to another state at age 10 to get better training. still, in a country where gymnasts dont get the money or the structure they deserve, she beat all odds to become what she is and be second only to thee simone biles. insane to witness.
