“Loving someone who cannot love you the same way in return is not weakness. It’s one of the most courageous things you’ll ever do. You are putting your armour at their feet and you are saying ‘I will not fight you in this. I have loved you and that means that I have already won.”

Make Me Choose: Dean and Cas orDean and Sam— asked by @stardustsam
feels like tumblr series finale tonight
The power of love breaking through mind control.
(An upgraded version of this)
Dean pretends to get really frustrated always having to explain everyday things to Cas but secretly he loves it because he gets to talk endlessly about his favorite things. Especially music. Cas pretends not to know a lot just to hear Dean ramble on about the things he loves.
This is the cutest thing ever omg. Cas playing dumb and having Dean teach him these really obvious things and Dean can’t believe Cas doesn’t know, but he teaches him anyway, proud that he’s the one getting to teach Cas how to live a normal human life. And Cas just sitting there with this dumb smitten look on his face. Sam says he looks like a literal expression of the ‘heart-eyes’ emoji when he sits there listening to Dean ramble on about where Rock music got it’s start and how to change a carburetor, but Cas doesn’t care, because Dean gets so invested in explaining things and he loves the little wistful smile Dean always gets on his face. 10/10 for this lovely little headcanon. I love the idea of Dean teaching Cas the simple things in life!

“How do you use a toaster?” Cas asked one morning, tilting his head to the side and watching Dean move about the kitchen.
Dean rolled his eyes, looking up at the ceiling with fond expasaration. “How can you have watched humanity for thousands of years and not know how to use a toaster?” Dean asked.
Cas shrugged innocently, batting his eyes at Dean to sell the image of faux-innocence.
“Alright. Turn the radio on on your way over here, and I’ll teach you how to use a toaster.”
Clicking the radio on, Cas sidled up next to Dean, pressing into the hunter’s space as he watched Dean pull one set of toast out and place the next slice of bread into the toaster.
As Dean buttered the toast, Cas asked about the AC/DC song playing, causing Dean to launch into an explanation of the band’s history and their rise to fame.
When Sam walked in, twenty minutes later, he saw the angel leaning against Dean, looking at him with starry eyes as his brother talked about the album Back in Black.
“Whipped,” Sam coughed, staring straight at Cas, even as the angel huffed and stole the slice of half-eaten toast from Dean’s plate.
