there’s something about living life deliberately…wearing clothes that you actually want to and that you feel reflect you and your style not just because you’ve had them for years and don’t know what else you would throw on….listening to songs and creating playlists that excite you and represent your actual mood not just listening to songs that you’ve had downloaded for years that don’t make you feel anything special anymore…it’s VERY easy to stay with what you’re comfortable and it might take a bit of experimenting before you find what feels like a deliberate choice that reflects more of YOU but it’s absolutely worth the leap of faith you may have to convince yourself to make in order to stop feeling like a passenger in your own life

Evening sketch 26/09/18.
i also would like to solicit a hot take
A lot of YA books aren’t actually YA, they’re fantasy written by women/women of color/queer folks and thus not viewed as “worthy” of an adult audience the way that fantasy written by their white male counterparts is viewed.
You’re right and you should said it.
Listen. You ARE nature. You’re an entire ecosystem. Your flesh sculpted from the dirt. Your blood brewed from rain water. Thousands of creatures living inside of you, on your skin, who wouldn’t be alive without you just like you wouldn’t be either without them. You are born from the forest and the sea. Be kind to yourself.
when people ask me what i want to do with my life i'm like. i wanna wear an ugly expensive coat to go grocery shopping at lidl... and uhh take a bath with someone who loves me... write a children's book that my lover illustrates.... be an extra in an a24 movie starring robert pattinson... be kissed on the eyelids.... blow on a spoonful of soup before eating it... own a pair of shiny patent leather loafers... thanks so much <3

This is getting on my fucking nerves, so I’m just going to say it here:
Adults who need high levels of support in daily living are not children.
“Mental age” is a concept rooted in eugenics, and it doesn’t actually exist.
No one should be robbed of agency or dignity because of their need for support. Oh, also, while we’re at it (since disability rights activism that doesn’t tackle age-related oppression is bullshit), kids deserve to be treated with respect too. Shouldn’t be a controversial statement, but it is.
Most people neglect to mention this, but if “being treated like a child” equates to “being robbed of agency and dignity,” there’s something fundamentally wrong with the way we treat children.
