I’ve had a few people have been asking if it’d be possible to make a post with links to my recc lists in one place thus I’m making a collection here that I’m gonna pin on my blog for easy access. Whenever I make a new list I’ll make sure to add it to this post as well.

Wanted to give my brain something completely different a few days ago (It's not been working right during March) and to keep up my "written thing each month sooo jumped on this. I wasn't expecting Blinky to go and hijack the thing. I'm sorry you've been living in my askbox this long.

For many of troll kind, gemstones have been used to mark eras, be they good ones or ill, much like humans apparently do with their ores, metals and crowns. Tales from these times are then passed down the generations by the spoken word and later, as language and nuance became shared, through text. It is to Blinky’s great pleasure that he happens to own some of the latter! Granted they are a touch archaic even in the sense of the long lived and their meanings have warped with age as much as dust. Eng wema bet eng wema! Still, as a historian, these offer vital clues to the lost and lessons for the modern day that are just as valuable as when they were first spoken. It is in such great tradition that he continues to parse occurrences from his own lifetime for the records and while he firmly believes highly in accuracy over embellishment, there is the odd temptation here and there to do so. Really it should be, well, expected in particularly in such turbulent times as these…
Anyways enough with all this dilly dallying about with context. Onwards to knowledge and greater understanding!
The earliest period he wishes to cover occurs after troll-kind ventured out from their ancestral homes and long before the most recent descendants of the great Galadrigal line came to be. It is known as the era of the amethyst when the various clans and species of trolls led largely separated lives from one another. This said there are the odd mention of unions or trade meaning isolationist tendencies as the krubera do in the modern was not an absolute. Many so-called mythicals still roamed wild including the now extinct fae. Peaceful would be quite the misnomer though it is certainly one of the uh quieter in comparison.
The next era would be the obsidian or karp. This is believed to have had a different name once but was later renamed for it’s notorious association with Gunmar. Strife with humans was rapidly growing beyond the mere handfuls as space was stolen and the ground was put to flame leading to the War for the Surface Lands. This led to the rise of Orlagk who formed the original Gumm-Gumms though they were not the army they would later become. With so much blood and stone being shed it is hardly a wonder someone like him was formed nor his growing reputation prior to his recruitment as a General.

After winning the ‘battle’ for leadership, he quickly cemented himself as a protector using those under his sway to protect any and all from humans that would do them harm. Even to us who knew nothing of war, he became lauded in song and story for the lives and homes he saved. An Opradush of our very own! Joining the side of this unstoppable force was an honour and things seemed ever so hopeful. Putting aside the odd human that was snacked upon surely a truce could have been come to at some point and the sword might be laid down? It was just for now, just until it was safe. His erkl will remember this better than he assuming he would be willing to impart it.
Because it's been a week of a lot of construction noises and lack of sleep, decided to do something completely different and tackle a prompt I've owed for a while. Bit of nice low pressure writing that's stop start friendly.
Naturally Blinky hijacked the damn thing for a history lesson.

See people are after fics, part 8 is building in my drafts. After the death of a friend I spent a good while struggling to read ~anything~ so I've got quite the backlog I'm going through right now.
Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 comes out February 2.
The main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting. It also shares the same animation studio as rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
It be good if you watch the first 2 season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher. And watch the other season 2 episodes when they air.
I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them probably dropping 14 episodes on Disney + on February 3. They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + on feb 3 and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they are dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day but also when they air the first time.
I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!
I miiight be the wrong person to ask. I've been following one of the boarders for years (Shoutout to Kilomonster who is on tumblr) and retweeting stuff on twitter/on my reblog tumblr since before the first season came out to help promote. The lack of Disney+ means I can't access it but already been doing what I can including watching the official clips/episodes on youtube.
Region blocks/staggered regional releases on top of it makes it extra annoying too.

Between writing for another fandom (Had one fic out last weekend and be another this weekend if I can finish up and edit oh god help) I've been going back and editing the first chapter of Stars with plans to do all of Ghost!AU and the rest of Stars too. That first chapter was rushed, it shows and it damn well deserves better. No new content is being added as that's never been the problem but we got typos getting nuked from orbit, paragraphing where it should be, so so many defunct lines getting yeeted and sentences reworded to actually make sense. Novelty!
Here's a bit that's been straightened out:
By the very tips of his hearing comes a scraping noise. Rather deafening in the stillness of the morn in fact though his eyesight cannot yet place a culprit. Placing a hand over his brow the troll squints and scrutinises and is made to bear witness to broken stone start to shift. Suddenly glowing blue bursts from the remains akin to a butterfly emerging from a cocoon where it continues hurtling into the air ever higher. Then it’s gone. A fist banging against the grate the point of his composure snapping. The silly thing was going away from them! Could that mean their new protector belongs to a different tribal home than theirs? Perish the thought before it rises! Right here is where danger is constantly lurking on their very doorstep!

It's gonna take a while because there's So Much of it but is one of those little projects I'm working on when actually willing to edit. I despise editing at the best of times but this is for a good cause.
So it turns out tumblr removed the "Your queue is at cap" error message.
For some reason. Had to find out the hard way it had not in fact bugged out. Turns out "posting too many from your queue" also lacks an error message and promptly acts weird.
It started moving things to my drafts without me realising and I still can't post anything on any of my blogs. This is great programming clap clap.
Bit of a random question, blame being extremely stressed for over two weeks over something I'm still being messed around with.
Data entry is fairly mindless, if time consuming, so it's good for anxiety attacks. I need to redo the conditional formatting on the numbers even before I start updating said numbers...
This is it currently with the new key so everything has to fit with the new version of said key. Yaaay.
Finished constructing the adult one last night (I had a list but not been set up) annnd updated the conditional formatting for it and the kids. Figured better safe given I can't actually see the poll results and who knows what you lot are up to.
Given the sheer number of adults likely what I'll end up doing is have a minimum of ships they need to achieve to be included. I'll still put the numbers somewhere but it will reduce them to more reasonable. I literally cannot fit them on the screen right now which isn't very readable! Already had one mistake for it.
Here's hoping Zeron's get some love I'm genuinely curious about that one.
As you can see it's rather silly. Once the numbers have been whacked down somewhat I'll be a lot more doable and be able to start the layout for the numbers only grid.
