“Man, this season has been a tough one full of obstacles and learnings for my Great Whites. I’d be lying if I said otherwise. It’s been hard, difficult, unpredictable, disappointing and yet also beautiful. The beauty in this season is that it has taught me more than any other, it has allowed me to refocus on what is most important - an unwavering team that beats with one heart, and perhaps most importantly, it’s reminded me that it’s okay to fail, as long as you get back up and just keep swimming. This video is a perfect example of that - thank you to the person who put it together. This is what difference 8 weeks can have when supported by the belief of 24 girls, coaches who love them and of course the backbone of good old hard work. We took the failure of one competition and revamped the team, our routine and used that failure to reignite the fire that was missing. Are we there yet? Not even close. But we are well on our way to being the team we want to be and along the way, have become a team that is resilient, positive and unwavering in their love for each other. In other words, my dream team”
