What if I told you that RoobrickMarine went and wrote an entire novella starring my 16th century dog couple? It's very canon-adjacent, well researched and thoughtfully put together, has inspired me a ton during these past months and it's now publicly available at AO3. I highly recommend it.

i'm so glad goncharov happened when it did, right before prolific public use of AI. that was pure honest gaslighting straight from the heart. real human whimsicality and trickery thru blood sweat and tears. we were a family. and we all gonched, together. you cant replicate that with any machine.

Chocolate guy has learned how to make corrugated cardboard. he is a powerful eldritch being who cannot be contained. The only reason we seem to be alive is because his interests are exclusively in the making of delicious lifelike desserts.

Anyway, here’s why this is the best meme of the 2010’s

This meme is an internet staple that managed to be versatile, unproblematic, inclusive, and best of all one of the greatest examples of a shitpost. The humour was not in the grandeur, not in the references, not in the junxapositioning of labled words, nor in the relatability of it all. The humour is in the simplicity, the artistic composition of the original image, the three course meal of fashion that was served by the subject, and of course, the iconic pose that changed the way we see one’s hands clasped together with one’s feet shoulder-width apart.

This meme is a reflection of the average: middle class life in the ‘burbs; taking pictures at everyday landmarks such as the uneven sidewalk by your house or the tree you almost crashed into when you just got your learners permit; wearing your favourite matching top and bottom in a picture to show off the 18k gold plated wristwatch and loafers your nana got you for your birthday; the grandest joys in the most average of things.

In a way, I think deep down, we all know that Luciano did not actually have to do it to em, but we, as a society, are better off because he did

one of the worst irl debuffs is "something in the kitchen smells weird but you cant find it". you have to just do the rituals and hope for the best (taking out the trash, boiling water down the sink, look for lost potatoes etc)

Every time I'm busy all the theaters are playing those made up artsy movies that insecure people talk about to make fun of "film snobs" that just end up sounding really cool and whenever I'm free it's all shit like a Winnie the Pooh Slasher Movie and a Goonies reboot

When I'm busy: Lithuanian film about a homosexual pigeon who travels to Germany and after learning about his pigeon sexuality, witnesses the fall of the Berlin Wall with his lover, a discarded cigarette who is a drag queen

When I'm free: Ghostbusters 7: Bustin Never Felt Better

The administration of President Joe Biden acted last month to mostly rescind a Trump-era Denial of Care Rule that invited health care workers to deny medical treatment and services to patients because of personal religious or moral beliefs.

Americans United applauded the move.

“We applaud the Biden administration for taking positive steps toward protecting both religious freedom and patients’ health by rescinding the Trump-era Denial of Care Rule,” said Rachel Laser, AU’s president and CEO. “No one should be denied the health care they need because of someone else’s religious beliefs.

“The Denial of Care Rule was a dangerous policy that weaponized religious freedom and put the health and lives of women, LGBTQ+ people, religious minorities and so many others in jeopardy,” Laser continued. “Today’s rule seeks to protect patients from harm and upholds the fundamental principle of church-state separation.”

HEY SPREAD THIS AROUND, WE ARE SAFER NOW.

i’ve been thinking about this video nonstop since the first time i saw it

the jaunty walk perfectly in time with the music. the tip of the hat the unaware or uncaring bystanders. the shaky camera with random zooming. the fact that this is seemingly happening in a park. this is peak media i can’t get over it
