Hello! Maybe I missed it, but have the 2017 prompts been released yet? If not, when should I check back for them?

As of right now there are no plans for a 2017 angst week! Unfortunately, all mods are now in college and have been relatively busy.

Mod B left us last year, and the rest of us mods have either drifted from the fandom or been rather inactive lately.

Hopefully, we can have something planned by the end of the week, but we simply may not be able to.

Thank you for asking!

Mod Mslead is stepping down

Because of issues mod Mslead is having at home and such, she's going to have to let her position as a mod for angst week go. Please contact B on her account if you're interested in taking over where she left off!

Hello! I really would love to submit something for this week's Fairy Tail angst but I'm wondering if it's too late. I'm looking for submitting something for The End category and should I submit it on this account, should I just tag it, or both. If you could answer me back whenever is convenient, that would be great. Thank you!!

FT Angst Week: Day 5-Past

FT Angst Week

Day-5

Past

(A/N): I really liked writing this one~ It’s an AU and different from all of my other stories. Thanks a lot, @sunflowerchrysalis for helping me out with this!

  Drip drip drop.

The rain poured down steadily, disturbing the normal harmony of the river. Juvia didn’t mind. She liked the rain. It seemed to be a part of her; she was never bothered by it like other people were.

Then again, there were a lot of things that were different about her.

This was her usual routine. Paddling down the river each day in the tiny boat that had belonged to her parents. People in her village kept away from her, believing that she was insane. But then, that’s what anyone would think if they knew her past.

Title:  Smothered Day:  Four Series:  Fairy Tail Pairing:  Gajeel/Levy Rating:  Teen

She had it under control, was actually winning for the first time in what felt like forever, and Levy could not help the small surge of elation that drove through her as the mage before her fell back with a small whimper, fear in his cerulean eyes as he just barely dodged her fire attack.

Eyes, she thought with a flicker of amusement, that matched her own hair.

The boy was perhaps a handful of years younger than her, and clearly far less experienced.  She wondered why he had chosen to join a dark guild, to effectively throw his life away, yet it was not her place to ask.  Not yet, at least, not until he lay defeated at her feet.

Lucy didn’t want to go home. Home wasn’t really even home for her. Her father was never there and her mother had died when she was young, so Lucy didn’t really have anyone there she could talk to when she had problems. So, instead, she went to the park and sat under her favorite tree. Under that tree, she could sit and think and breathe without the expectations placed upon her because of her last name. She was a Heartfilia. She had a reputation to uphold, a reputation that was being dragged through the mud currently by some low life named Boru who claimed she was his girlfriend in front of everyone at school. No matter what she said, no one believed her. She didn’t really know anyone at school anyways. She didn’t want people trying to befriend her just because she had money, and she made that quite clear to everyone. That’s why she didn’t really have any friends. Never in her life had she ever felt more alone. What was she going to do? She couldn’t face the world now. She was a total reject. Who knows what else they were saying about her? Rumors would get back to her dad and he wouldn’t be too pleased. It was times like these where Lucy resorted to writing to escape. She currently had a story going where she was the heroine and her best friend was a boy named Natsu. It was her way to get through all her problems, but this time it wouldn’t be enough. Natsu couldn’t save her from the downward spiral she was sure to be going down. No one could. Lucy just had to accept that her life was ruined and that she had brought shame to the family name. Maybe she should run away? That would solve her problems. She could leave and start over. She could go somewhere where no one knew her or her last name and maybe just maybe everything would be all right. With that thought in mind, Lucy resolved herself to running away. She didn’t need much, just her laptop and some mementos from her mother. She went home and put all the things she thought she needed in her bag and got ready to leave. After one last scan around the room, she left. She was almost ready to leave town completely, but decided to stop by the cemetery to say goodbye to her mother one last time. On her way there, she noticed a funeral a few graves down from her mother’s. Lucy wasn’t normally one to pry, but she just felt a pull towards this particular grave. She was preparing to walk away when she heard something.

“Daddy, Natsu has to wake up,” the little girl said.

“Sweetheart, he can’t. It’s too late,” the girl’s father said.

“But I have to know about his adventures with Lucy,” the little girl responded.

“He’ll never get to finish his story, Sweetheart,” the man responded, “Natsu was a hero. He saved you from that fire, even if it caused his own death. I will forever be grateful to him.”

She hid herself behind a nearby tree to get a better look at the name on the headstone and gasped. It read “Natsu Dragneel beloved son and friend. His fiery personality will be missed.” Lucy didn’t want to believe it. The boy she had written about for so many years had been a real person in the same town as she was, and now he was dead. It was the final nail in the coffin of her dreams.

The Fallen

Title: The Fallen Genre: Angst Series: Fairy Tail Pairing: Zerza Summary: Even those that are the brightest, and most loved, can fall. A/N- my contribution to ft angst week. @zereffangirl I chose to write this one for my new favorite crack ship, Zerza. xXxXx She was sinking, falling, deeper and deeper into this vast sea of darkness. He was already at the bottom, alone in the abyss of hopelessness. Until he looked up and saw her, falling, falling, falling towards him. She was sinking, sinking, sinking into the depths of despair. Slowly, almost reverently, he held out his arms and she floated gently down into them. He was struck by the irony of this, that the most powerful and loved of them all could fall to his level. He, the most powerful and most hated. She was a deity that emanated love and acceptance. It mattered not. She would soon learn the art of hate. “You’ve fallen from grace, great Fairy Queen,” he said. “You are no longer a creature of light. You are like me, a resident of the dark. A monster with no place to run and no home on this earth. You are among the unloved now.” Titania, the great, the mighty, the infallible, Erza Scarlet looked up into the crimson eyes of her companion, and felt despair overtake her. How could it be that she’d fallen? All she’d ever wanted to do was to protect her comrades. To protect them, to be with them, to love them. How had she fallen, knowing that her desires had only been pure. As if he read her thoughts- perhaps he could, the mighty Titania had no idea of the true powers of the black mage currently supporting her in his arms- the hated man spoke. “Your lamentation is not a unique one. I too, only had the purest intentions before my fall. I, like you, fell for love. Unfortunately for you, love will not be enough to preserve your light in this infernal abyss. Give up now, Fairy Queen, there is no hope. Once you’ve fallen to my level, there is no chance of redemption.” Erza’s eyes widened, but she still made no move to escape the arms of her new acquaintance. She could feel his words resonate through her soul, her mutilated, blackened soul, and she could feel their truth. However, she hardened her eyes and glared up at him. “You are wrong. We are nothing alike. I will return to my family. I will escape this hell.” Zeref sighed, unsurprised. He gazed down, almost pityingly, and knew that her attempts would be futile. Her stay here was eternal, and he only had to wait until she accepted this bleak reality. He was immortal, after all, and he would be there to experience her descent into madness, as well as the descent of all those who followed her. Such was his curse, the curse of those who dared to love.

Day 3: Family

Yo here’s some more angst guys. I was super busy today and I hadn’t written this prompt yet so I quickly had to whip this out. Really sorry to @heyitsmogan because we had discussed an idea but I couldn’t finish it but I’m still writing it because that was an amazing idea and I wanna. You guys should check out her writings btw. Very good. __________________________ Description: Family: a group consisting of two parents and their children living together.

Pairing: Nalu

Word count: 500ish

Trigger warning: Family issues?? _________________________

Lucy quickly shuffled through dresser draws and stuffed them into a small back pack while the clock ticked by. She knew she didn’t have much time left and that they’d have to leave soon and with that thought racing through her mind she zipped up the bag, slinging it over her shoulder before grabbing the teddy that lay on the unmade bed.

“But Mama, why do we have to leave?” a golden haired girl whined as she followed her into another room where the older woman grabbed a large suitcase.

“We just have to,” the blonde replied. She shoved the stuffed dragon into her daughter’s hands then hauled the suit case down the stairs. The little girl followed her and watched as her mama loaded their things into the car.

“I don’t wanna go!” the little girl cried as she clung to the teddy in her arms, tears forming in the corners of her eyes as Lucy let a frustrated sigh escape her lips. She slammed the car door and looked at her daughter as the tears spilled down the little girls cheeks.

“Baby, please,” she whispered as her own tears fell and embraced her daughter, “You have to be strong for me, kay?” Her daughter simply nodded as they pulled away from each other. The older woman knew it was hard for her daughter to understand but they have to leave.

“C'mon we have to go now, Luna.”

Lucy opened up the passenger door and ushered her daughter in and as she closed the door another car pulled up in the drive way. A curse left her lips while she jogged around to the driver’s side and hoped in then started the car.

The mother’s heart ached as she watched the man she loved walk briskly up to the vehicle with confusion written all over his face. She began to reverse and he ran towards them, shouting for Lucy to stop. She couldn’t though and as her vision blurred with tears she silently said a thousand apologies to the man who banged on her car window and looked at her with frightened eyes.

“Daddy,” Luna cried beside her and Lucy nearly put on the breaks. How was she supposed to do this? She couldn’t tear this family apart. The guilt was already eating her up inside and as she heard her daughter cry for her father it just consumed her completely. The blonde didn’t want to leave but she knew it was for the best. She couldn’t put Natsu through that pain. He was her husband and she’d never want to hurt him like that.

Her heart tore in half as she left him and sped away, a sob escaping her lips as she could still hear him screaming for her. Luna cried while she looked out the window, trying to catch a glimpse of her father and Lucy wished she could comfort her but what gave her the right? She was the one to blame for breaking this family, for everything that had happened.

Please forgive me… __________________________

Okay I’ll admit that I actually got a little teary eyed while writing this and it was like wow omg because who gets sad while writing angst?

Anyway sorry this is so bad but I was doing things and yeah XD

Thank you for reading and it’d mean a lot if you could tell me what cha think :)

Fairy Tail Angst Week - Day Four: Smothered

Happy Angst Week! This is a day early, but I know I’d probably forget to post it tomorrow, so I’m putting it out now. I love all the theories about how E.N.D. will appear, so here’s mine. There’s also some Nalu if you squint.

There was too much blood.

Living on Borrowed Time, pt4

rating: T characters: Natsu Dragneel, Mavis Vermillion, Zeref Dragneel pairings: Nalu, Zervis summary: Living on borrowed time (phrase): existing longer than expected; someone continuing to survive against anticipations…with the implications that this will not be for much longer. placement: Big spoilers for the manga; if not caught up, don’t read! *in which I remind myself how much of a pain Zeref is to write for- but a contradictory character is also a fun one~*
Prev Part, Next Part: Coming Soon

.:Day 3: Family:.

The days of war quickly melt into weeks, and shamefully, Alvarez staggers into the losing position. It bothers Zeref, watching many of his pieces being slaughtered, captured, or far worse, but still he smiles. He must applaud Mavis for giving him a worthy challenge- she always knew how to play her cards well, and is excellent at keeping hidden aces up her sleeves…but, so he is he.

However, he’s had to put Invel into play now, seeing as his forces in the south have been entirely wiped out and the north appears to be next. He frowns slightly- because he spent so many years crafting this militant nation for this very moment and this is the performance they give?!- but he sighs. He should’ve expected as such from the people who raised Natsu…

But really, there’s no need to worry. Despite his falling army, everything is still on track. They’ve cleared him a straight path towards Fairy Tail, and left many, many wizards of Fiore unable to even fight now…and all he has to do is walk this path they’ve opened for him and pick off any straddlers that remain along the way.

It makes getting his hands on Fairy Heart so much easier, it’s laughable.

It’s a double-edged strategy, as clearing out all his pawns leaves the king himself nigh vulnerable, but in this game the opposing side is too far to even touch him.  Only the queen and her knight -nay, a fool with ties to both sides- have a chance at getting at him, but that’s also exactly what he wants.

“Rally your troops, gather your might, and do your worst, Fairy Tail,” Zeref hums to himself, crossing the lands with his own personal army marching dedicatedly behind him. “But the moment you entered this war, you already lost.”

Let them massacre the Spriggans; let them knock down all the pawns - he doesn’t care. They’ve already served their purpose. They’re disposable and expendable.

It’s not like he ever saw them as family- and certainly not in the way he felt about those two…

Ship: Nalu

Story Type: Oneshot, Angst

Characters: Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, Lisanna Strauss

Summary: “But you already are my wife,” Natsu said, confused. For some reason, that caused me to go into hysterics, laughing, but my laughter was full of bitter pain.“That’s what you and everyone else thinks, but no, I’m really not.”

Brother Mine

Many things can be forgotten in the space of four centuries, but some things endure, buried beneath the surface until the time is right for them to come to light once more. Once upon a time he hadn’t wanted to be a brother…then he had forgotten how to be one…but a single word can change all that. Written for Fairy Tail Angst Week on Tumblr. Day 3 Prompt: Family

Pairings: None

Warnings: Mentioned burns/blood. Character death.

Title:  Spellbound Day:  Two Series:  Fairy Tail Pairing:  Juvia/Gray Rating:  Teen

Okay, I feel the need to say before we get started, I don’t actually like the gruvia pairing. I love Juvia, don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating on her. I just much prefer her with Lyon than Gray, because holyhell those two are cute together!

So why write gruvia? Because it worked for the idea I had, and to be honest I just really, really wanted to write me some Juvia. She gets a bit TOO much hate in fic, and I’m trying to balance that out a bit, make her more human. This is done on an hour and a half’s sleep and may contain glaring omissions, just to warn you XD

“Look, Juvia, I’m sorry.  Please don’t cry.”  His hand on her head, warm and comforting in all the worst ways, and the tears simply would not stop.  They spilled over, trickling down her cheeks to mingle with the rainwater as the downpour only intensified.  “I know how much you think of me, and I wish I could feel the same, but I just don’t.  I can’t force myself to love you back, it doesn’t work that way.”

Family

Day 3 of Angst week felt like a Gajevy sorta thing, so I hope you enjoy :D

White used to be a such plain colour. It was splashed over walls, clothes and she couldn’t escape it. It was mundane, no flare, no excitement. But, when she saw herself in the mirror, adorned in the colour, it seemed to come to life, gaining a whole new meaning. White was the colour of her dress, the colour of his tie, the colour of the flowers she gripped between her hands. It gained life, and gave it to her in return.

So why now, did it just seem to fade to grey.
