HELLO EVERYONE! :D

marbleyarns spiritcookie and I went to bronycon together, but it didn’t go as well as we had hoped…it actually didn’t go as well as our worse expectations either. ;c

SO in order to try and makeup the different, we’ll be holding a late night stream to raise funds! 

Thus, a DOODLES FOR DONATIONS MULTISTREAM EVENT! We will split the funds evenly between the three of us, and hope to raise as much as we can to break even, and being optimistic hopefully earn more to pay off some bills. Our ultimate goal would be ~900-1200$ (300-400 each), but we’d be grateful for any help and you get awesome art in return! ; w;

I got bored and made a giant character generator.  7 different categories with at least 17 options each (some have more), including fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, modern, and historical possibilities… which means that characters can get ridiculous really fast (like flamethrower-wielding, Feudal Japanese cyborg priestess with a pet unicorn). Have fun with what you get or try a few times if you want a serious character. 

If you do make a character with this, tag ‘characterdesigninspiration’ so I can see them!

So apparently I am a bony dragon alchemist with heterochromia who wields a scythe and dresses in the style of the Yaun Dynasty and goes on adventures with his pet phoenix.

A short, freckled, demon witch, dressed in the style of the ancient Egyptians, wielding a pole arm, and accompanied by a pet unicorn.

I think I know what I'm drawing tonight!

I have two siblings, and together the three of us are very close. We've done a lot together and all encouraged each other's growth. Even though we all go our own ways now and then, coming back together again, discussing the past and present, is one of the most wonderful things. I imagined such a bond for Celestia and Luna.

I wanted the scene to be about the two, together as siblings, visiting a place which might not hold the best of memories—offset by chancing upon their collective journal, a symbol for the positive memories they share.

It didn't print as well as I would have liked, which was one of the purposes of the piece. But I also felt that it didn't convey the sense of place or atmosphere that I was hoping for. The set was to contrast the warm feeling of discovery between the sisters with something slightly foreboding, perhaps; evidence of a troubled past.

Hopefully that is enough to build off of! Already, I think that one of the problems might be that I did not consider these questions very thoroughly when I started the piece. x_x
