I have! I can't remember the exact case, but I am very familiar with the feeling. I know certain poses and anatomy kicked my ass in the past and I was so mad because 9/10 times it had to do with art for myself.

The best you can do in these cases is getting references, then getting better references, then better references, then trace (for study purposes only, not for posting) and see if that helps. And if it really doesn't work, no shame in just not doing it yet.
