Albus didn’t even bother to hold back the snort and his boyfriend’s lame attempt at a joke - though he doubted that it was the worst one he had ever heard his boyfriend attempt. Not by far.
He kissed him back lightly, jutting out his lower lip in a childish pout, when the kiss hardly lasted as long as he would have liked, but pushed the feelings away for now and raised an eyebrow at the blond, a mischievous smile on his own face.
"I still very much plan on smacking you around a little bit - but you’re right, I don’t like sharing, so I’ll put you in a speedo, and a bikini top, but I’m still gonna shave you bald…” he teased, and he would very much carry out that threat if that day came. Poor Scorpius.
Albus moved so his hands were on either side of the Gryffindor’s face and looked him steadily in the eyes. “Stop putting yourself down, because it’s not going to make me feel any better. Everyone makes mistakes, and you’re blond, so it’s even more excusable!” Ah yes, more lame jokes, what a treasure they were.
Albus’ snort did its part to ease Scorpius’ worries, and after a moment, the Gryffindor let a small laugh. Despite everything that had just happened in the surprisingly short amount of time that had just passed, he felt almost as if nothing had changed at all. That, he supposed was a very, very good thing. Something that could very well tear many couples apart hardly made an impact on him and Al. Or, well, at first it had been bad, really bad, but once they worked it out....
He let out another laugh at Al’s pout, giving in as he gave the brunet another kiss—— though, it was not longer than the first; they had things to talk about right now, and there’d be plenty of time for affection later.
“Fair enough, I suppose. I probably deserve it,” he joked in return. “Oh, well, if that’s the case, I guess you can rest assured that I’ll never be that big of an idiot again. My hair and dignity are far too precious to me.” Of course, his grin made it clear that he was teasing— mostly.
“Well, I don’t exactly seem like the world’s greatest catch right now, do I?” Apparently, though, it was Albus’ turn to make a bad joke, and Scor’s current lack of self esteem did not keep him from snorting in response. “And a Gryffindor and quidditch player, no less. Guess that means I have to be thick-headed as hell, yeah?” He teased, before wrapping his arms around Albus and closing his eyes as he leaned down to kiss him again.
Just as he thought that Scorpius was going to let it go, the words had come spilling out of his mouth. He felt his own mouth suddenly go dry, his throat constricting as it suddenly became very difficult to breathe. He could not deal with this right now, and while he had suspected it to be true for awhile, he never thought about it too long, or thought it would confront him this soon.
"Did you mean it?“
He wasn’t sure what he expected. Scorpius couldn’t exactly just take it back without fearing that that would be rather heartless.
“Yeah. Of course I meant it.”
It had just begun to really set in; the gravity of what he had said. He supposed he could have said that, no, he actually didn’t mean it after all—— but he wouldn’t. Al knew that, too, he was sure. So here they were, at what may very well be one of the most important moments in their entire relationship.
“I mean— you’re one of the smartest people I know, Al; I thought you’d have pieced it together by now.”
"Ginny is still 100% sure that all our kids are straight, but mostly because she wants a lot of grandchildren, not that she’ll actually care one way or another - ” he didn’t bother telling Scorpius that their had been rumors going so far that Harry knew about them, and wouldn’t be surprised if Scorpius’s parents had heard them too and didn’t at least have their suspicions. “Well, we made a bet about his sexuality, and who he was dating… we’re parents, we don’t have anything better to do with out time - I’m sure your parents are betting on things about your life too - erm, right… just making sure…”
“I mean, I definitely want kids, and even if I do end up with Al in the long-term, there’s always adoption, so....” Scorpius reached a hand up to rub at the back of his neck. He knew that, at Hogwarts, he and Albus didn’t really go out of their way to hide that they were a couple, though he never would have imagined that it was a big enough deal that even Harry had heard about it by now. “Oh. Well. That’s... hm. What else do you make bets on?” ... perhaps he shouldn’t have asked that; he wasn’t sure he actually wanted to know. “Yeah, I, uh, I understand. It’s a valid thing to be concerned about.”
"Oh, Scorpius–– Don’t worry about getting into Slytherin. We’ll be proud of you NO MATTER what house you’re in.”
“Well, Mum, here’s the thing, actually... I don’t want to be in Slytherin. I don’t want to be who Dad was, and I don’t want other people to think that’s who I am, either. I just... I need to be Scorpius.”
“ oh, is that this weekend? man, i would, but i’ve got a good three essays due monday that i haven’t started, plus gryffindor’s got a big match against slytherin next week that i wanted to practice for. ”
"Even though I appreaciate your concern, you do realise that I don’t care, right?”,
“Well, what if I tell you that I don’t care that you don’t care? What then, Abbie?
scorpixsm liked this for a starter.
“Valentine’s Day is the most depressing holiday.”
"More annoying than depressing, really."
“I wouldn’t doubt it, honestly. Last thing I knew, he had a girl with him and didn’t look too happy about it. Have you been hiding from creepy girls as well?”
"Unfortunately, I lack the discipline required to keep myself in the dorm all day, so no. Mostly I've just been making excuses to avoid them."

“Yeah… about that— - three minutes in and he VIOLENTLY vomited E V E R Y W H E R E . Hope it wasn’t me…”
"Man, that sucks. I'm sure it wasn't you, though, I mean; you're pretty damn cool, so...."
”What if we were to just go up to them and just plain stare? It’s almost as if they want to give a show or something.”
"Honestly, that actually sounds like a really good idea. Maybe they'd actually cut it out. I mean, honestly, even if it's Valentine's Day, nobody asked for this."
“Scor, you’re absolutely ridiculous - but also bloody f a n t a s t i c. Though the almost-poetry was a nice touch, though you don’t need to ask me to make out with you.”
"Well, I try. it's hard to maintain such a flawless balance between the two, you know. Doubt you could pull it off. Almost poetry; excuse you, Al? I put so much work into that - no, but I'm glad you liked it," and with Albus' last comment the blonde is pulling him into a kiss.

" Hey, Scorpius, I’m heading to town to try and find your mother something nice. Mind bonding with me over the fact I have no bloody idea what to get her yet? ”
"Sure. I mean, it's not like I've got anything BETTER to do. My plans for the day were pretty centric on talking to my cat, so..."

”I wouldn’t go int’ that building if I were you, Malfoy. It’s the time out barn. And there’s a little Horntail in there just eager to take a chomp-chomp outta someone’s leg, cher.”
"Considering I'm not really in the mood to become a chew-toy, I'll take your word for that, Dom."
"Who ever said I was a g o o d cousin?"
"Maybe, it’s not my fault… Maybe you’re just undesirable? It’s possible."
"Well, you're one of two cousins I even have; you're the best thing I've got."
"That is absolutely impossible. I mean, look how hot I am. How could anyone not want this?"
"That’s because you got all the attractive genes this family had to offer. You have me to thank for most of those, no matter what your mother says."
"I can appreciate being hot; I mean, that's honestly probably my best trait, but still. How bloody stupid can someone even get?"
"Does my little brother have a Valentine?"
"Nope."
